do you see another pop happening in early April?

Definitely.

You have to believe 1st qtr is going to be strong as I do, then the question is how to trade it.

I think the run up will be prior to the 1st qtr reports so now until April 20ish. Once the reports start coming out I think she cools off under theory buy the story sell the news. From a trading aspect I'd be long in here, add on drops and not sell until after the April mid point. If the strategy fails it's a loss but much better chance we are on higher ground by mid April imo.

We may see a pattern like yesterday. Strong open, a round of mid session selling and strong close.

Today will be the end of end of the qtr window dressing. Could be volatile but I would not expect heavy volume the next few days as everyone sits on their positions.

Be a steady buyer in here but no need to chase.

Not always a bull. But if there was ever the case for the bull it's now. Even with the same tax rate this would have been a great qtr. So yea, I'm biting at the fuggin bit to see 1st qtr earnings.

As Josh was mentioning interest rates will be the key to a bear market. We already know rates are going up this year and next, the fed said so.

The term you will hear that could slow the bull is "overheating". Basically inflation and rates going up faster than profits.

This is a great time to be long. If it doesn't work out you take a loss. But not many times in history do you get a chance to bet on the first quarter after the largest corp tax cut in US history.

I have to because I really have no choice Royer - if i were to sell now I'm eating a loss of nearly 11%. I can afford it but why would anyone want to? I'm betting my losses get to only 5% before they get to 16% (famous last words of a fool??)

I'm here, it's a short week, don't think we'll see much fireworks tomorrow. I still think we'll see the market resume its uptrend.

One thing is for sure - If Xi and Trump care about the markets as much as it appears they do, they have no choice but to work together. The two biggest superpowers in the world cannot be in a huge trade war. it's not good for anyone. by the same token, if tech is going to be the scapegoat for everything and the rotation Roy talked about is truly going on, then tech goes into the bear market and we are in for a long wait for the bull to return. i don't know. i just know my personal decision is easy. i have to wait it out.

Yes I agree Josh this is the way to invest and retain sanity while u wait. I'm trying to think in terms of long term horizon and only invest money that I don't need for at least 3-4 years maybe longer. That said when there are huge corrections going on every few weeks now it's hard not to "buy the dip"
