I've been in IONQ forever. ARQQ last 8 months. It's coming whether we all like it or not. Take a small position and hold.

OK, Mad. I'm in on some ARQQ. I like it.

There's definitely a learning curve on this Quantum Computers track. Encryption is complicated. So many zeroes to the right.

It's about creating a random string. Virtually impossible to repeat. At least one would think.

Is Willow going into the computers that are going to be released soon? I always found it frustrating to see a computer take time to churn answers. Would be awesome if those times speed up.

unlike jan 2024 when the market (in my mind) was clearly going to be bullish in the face of so many pundits saying the opposite.

Help reenergizing this thread!!

There was a day there were a great group of contributors offering great ideas/insights. That has clearly waned dramatically.

Our author seems committed to jump starting this dying trend.

Whoever is still out there trolling, whatever. Here's my challenge. Give us your most disappointing holding(s), that you have a strong confliction they have a strong future.

I'll start with:

LAC. GM backed Lithium mining. Thacker Pass. Waiting to double.

I'm very much interested in Gene/DNA therapy and Quantum.

DNA. Well backed and well beaten. Been on a slow climb last couple months.

CRSP. The future. DNA/Gene manipulation is coming. Once they merge Quantum power with healthcare this arena is just waiting to explode.

QaaS. Quantum computing in the cloud. This will be years before it hits your desktop but allowing companies the Quantum power without the need for the actual hardware. Freight Train coming right at you.

Let's go boy's!!

Not exactly sure what that means. But I do re-balance, when I get over-weighted on a certain stock.

I take a logical approach. At the moment, one thing sticks out to me. Don't want to be held down by traditional holdings that are stuck in the mud.

These charts are screaming for me to get out. I think gold will move here for a month or so, but then that too will be a sell and get out of the way move here. I am starting a short for energy as I think we see a tumble like in 2008 in that sector.

I guess Homie1975 would consider me as being bearish on the outlook for this year, but then again, I was bearish last year as a general feeling, and that didn't work out as I thought. This time however there is even more evidence of a top in the market from last month. We'll see and as always, the charts will dictate the moves I make but for now I'm looking to short and get some Put options.

Yes, because a strong jobs report means more consumer spending which means inflation stays higher for longer so the FED has to be more hawkish on rates.


We have been on a sugar high the past two years after the rotten 2022 so the market is understandably very jittery and all that was sold was a fraction of the gains made over the past 24 mos since 1/1/23.

I am pretty much with you Slurry which is why i sold all my laggards and stalling positions between the day before Thanksgiving and 12/31.

Mad, as a novice, I'm trying to wrap my head around the Quantum computing. If it means that my calculations process faster on a new computer, that's cool.

The experts I've listened to seem to think that it can't (yet) crack the Nuclear codes. When you look at the number of zeroes to the right on Encryption, it's a truly massive number.

It's not so much "behind the scenes", it's the error correcting, cooling, cost, etc, etc. Initially these computers will be cloud based/shared. Eventually, 10 years?, the technology will be available on your desktop. The race to decryption, of our current technology, and means to re-encrypt so Quantum can't decrypt (That's a mouthful LOL) is what to keep your eyes on. I also believe genomics, gene therapy will be HUGE!! Life expectancy is predicted to expand greatly! That's a whole nother conundrum with actuarial tables etc.

I'll be watching down from above. LOL

Good time to start nibbling at stocks like CRSP. And others?? I have a whole futuristic segment of my portfolio that's marked "Legacy/Grandchildren".
