Here's a song from 1983 that should get your adrenaline pumping. This is one of my all time favorites.

^ I'm full of music diversity. I got my rock on and liked Rush, Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Van Halen, Aerosmith and Ozzy back in the 80's also.

No matter your age, whichever era you were raised in, is, in each of our eyes, "The best era".

        The 80's was great.

But for those that grew up in the 70's, THAT was great.

        Same with the 60's.

        Etc., etc., etc.

Every year can name it's stars and each decade had plenty.

They were all the Greatest ! Too each of us.

The takeaway from all that is when you think of your individual era of greatness, it's not about hate, nor is it about dislike of others. It's about growing up and experiencing everything that is new, cool, and feels like it's yours.

Life, and all the B.S. that comes with it, can get in the way of that thought process but when you hear a name, or a song, from those special years, it snaps us back to a time when none of that other stuff mattered. Maybe just for a second or two.

But it is enough that we all remember that feeling we had.

        How cool is that !

i was born in '73. going to be 50 this year. meaning i saw terry bradshaw, joe montana, tom brady, michael jordan, Hakeem, bird, magic, isaiah thomas, the fab 5, michael jackson, madonna, prince, beyonce etc. lakers/celtics rivalry, duke/unc. none of this will ever be duplicated. ever. i got to see my uconn huskies win 5 rings which is the most surreal of all. i remember the team playing in storrs in less then 5k people with dom perno being the head coach before jimmy c. mike tyson, muhammad ali, sugar ray with hearns, duran, and hagler. the start of the ufc and the greatest wrestlers in the wwe. i doubt any generation will top this. and i watched barry sanders and bo jackson. they will not be duplicated.

About 1986 when I learned about the 8 ball. By 1987 it was all about the OZ. Sell 5 balls do 3 balls

                      By 1990 1/2 pound.

1996 thought WTF am I doing, started listening to CD's, it was a major life change.

Boston was awesome. Such an underrated band in it's time. I would rank them among the best. Clean vocals, guitar and drums. I'm rock'n out to them now. Bringing back memories!

Don't get me wrong, I haven't nothing against these bands, I just figured you would like stuff with a little more EDGE.

Johnny Marr is currently touring with my favorite band the Killers.
Just saw that show at Mohegan Sun two months ago, pardon the pun, that show killed.

What some don't know is Marr and Morrissey really don't like each other, never did.
But together, the Smith's were an amazing act, Maar said a big reason it worked is because the two of them were totally different, Morrissey with his God given vocals, and Marr for his musical genius.
