There literally was an umpire behind home plate holding up his hand every time ball was in the air and once it landed, he would signal to pitcher to pitch. Gotta love degenerates who lost on home run derby looking for excuses

but on at least 4 of those home runs, harper's dad threw the ball at least 3 seconds before the umpire pointed

This! And I didn’t have a side either way. He saved a good 10-15secs by pitching it early. No way he wins if he waited on the balls to land.

Gotta chime in here as I noticed the same thing. I had no financial interest in it, but balls were clearly pitched before last ones landed.

My only other input/question is..............there are numerous "foreign" flags brought out onto field by various players, coaches, kids, etc. Where are the AMERICAN flags?? I guess they are afraid of being racist, anti immigrant or xenophobic Kudos to Harper for his bat.

And, I think the times, if they are kept in the future, should alternate, at least for the final two rounds. 2 min. for player A, 2 min. for player B, 2 min player A again then 2 min. for B

And he wasn't the only one, numerous times you could see the umpire holding his hand up on other guys as well who were still pitching early.

Not" crying" over anything, I could care one way or another. To point out a rules violation is not "crying." But, there were very clear violations, why have the rule(or any rule) if its not enforced??

I said this right after the derby finished in the other thread.. I picked up on it and was laughing.. I'm sure the announcers saw it to but didn't mention it...

Pops was pitching way before the balls hit the ground in the last minute because he knew they were up against the clock.. Rules? What rules?

I took the. +225. Because I fiqured it would be persuaded for him and You always have to look for those moments in sports and make some cash , I have done this with many sports. Saints on Monday night , I bet big after that bad storm (that mess in New Orleans ) and it was a big night and everybody was set up for saints to win , It happens all the time over time in sports .

They should, let them pitch as fast as they want no matter if the ball lands or not.. Maybe shorten the over all time clock to compensate..
