A similar round tomorrow won't be nearly enough. He had the best round of the day but it was only 1 better than Spieth, 3 better than Schauffle, and 4 better than Kisner. Among others, he'd have to beat each of them by at least 5. I won't say it's impossible, but it's pretty close to impossible.

I thought he might be top 10, so I bought the Under 20.5 (+145) for some cushion, the line seemed generous because he can tie for 20 and you don't reduce your win.

He had an eagle - but some putts didn't drop. -2 for the day and a tie for 2nd. Still don't think a Rose win was too farfetched at all. Even as pro golfers go, Rose is a competitive guy. Yesterday's score wasn't some one-off thing - he's good enough to build on his momentum.

That said, Tiger made that sand carry today ... he is still a uniquely talented golfer, can make shots no one else can. I don't know what his answer is on how to win a major now. He's not what he used to be and it's possible that the fields now are way better than who he used to beat.
