You right I wouldn’t give a shit, fact is he is tiger and has earned every ounce of respect he gets as the greatest golfer any of us has ever seen. Obviously he will never be what he was, who is at 42 without all issues he has had? Not to mention. Pretty sure he juiced which leads to guys breaking down even more than normal. So what, fact is golf better when he competitive and way he playing I have no doubt he will eventually get 1 more major,

They said the same thing with Molinari, lol, but this time at least Woods was 2nd.

If Tiger didn’t exist, the PGA Championship and this thread still would exist - Tiger did not invent golf, did not put it on the map. He just, in being the worlds top pro athlete, brought in HUGE interest. A lot of that interest he brought has subsided, but it’s still a big sport regardless.

Realistically he prob more like top 20ish right now, which still damn good and surely gives him a chance to finally get that 15th at some point in next few years.

I loved watching today’s action, mostly due to the amazing round Tiger played despite being drastically out of position all day off the tee. No questioning one of the two greatest players of all time, coming off a long layoff this season due to injury, being in contention was what made it exciting for me.

But freaking Nick Faldo said during the coverage that if Tiger won it would be the greatest golf comeback story of all time. He then corrected himself and said it would be the greatest sports comeback of all time. Faldo is an idiot.

Ben Hogan won the U.S. Open at Merion in 1950 sixteen months after a bus mangled the car he and his wife were traveling in, hitting them head on. Hogan draped his body around his wife to protect her and suffered a double fractured pelvis, a fractured collarbone and ankle, and near fatal blood clots. Now that will always be the unquestioned greatest comeback in golf history in my opinion!
