    Captain Bosa abandons the ship
I know there’s probably another thread about this.
Don’t blame the guy for wanting to get paid.
But a Captain doesn’t abandon his ship.
Kinda makes the status of being a Captain of your football team meaningless

He's trying to distance himself from the stench of Myer.

It's the new normal in college football. I don't like it, but these kids want to ensure their security.

He likely was going to miss the entire season. Doing what's best for him.

Why not stay with the team that voted him a Captain?

Older example is Frank Gore getting hurt in national championship game with that gruesome knee injury. That was before he rookie cap. Cost him millions.

Newer example Cowboys Jalen Smith who damn near tore his leg in two for Norte Dame in bowl game. Went from top 5 pick to lucky to have been picked in second round.

NCAA has never had players backs in the way of any financial incentive while they play in billion dollar industry.

If players are good enough I definitely don’t blame them for doing what’s in their best interest. Bosa top 5 pick who could only hurt his NFL status now. Same with Fournette when he did it.

Cause he's not getting paid. Would you stay at your job without pay?! Meanwhile Myers getting millions... NCAA just making billions off these kids

The max offered on those policies is way less than what a 1st round draft pick is guaranteed. Nick is a top 5 pick which guarantees him over 20mil. Insurance would net him 10mil or less.

its silly to act like ppl need to sacrifice for the good of the team in a meaningless sporting event that is only done for fun/entertainment. its just a bunch of propaganda done by the media to make sports seem more interesting and important. the vast majority of the team wouldnt sacrifice anything significant for you.
