Former President Ford dies at 93

Just moved on the wires. His election against Jimmy Carter was the first presidential election I remember as a kid.

Wasn't in office long, but he was sharp in the mind until the end. He did speaking engagements up until a couple of years ago. We should all be so lucky to last that long.

I'd take him over George W. in a second. Make that a half-second.

I believe he was the only President that was never elected to president and vice-president office, and did a much better job than some of the ones that were elected.
