This can't be seriously considered...

Lol Jim Caldwell lives right down the street from me. He was the head coach at Wake Forest in the 90รขโฌโขs and still lives in the area. Even when he coached Indianapolis/Detroit he would always return here in the offseason.

Seems very jovial on the sidelines but his defenses have been obsolete for a decade and Aaron Rogers wants a retred for a HC?
I don't think so...

I think they should wait for Marvin Lewis or Hue Jackson to become available

If they hired any of those 3 (Lewis,Jackson,Caldwell), the NFC north is celebrating . Green Bay won't sniff the playoffs for 10 years
Detroit, Chicago, Minnesota will finish top 3 for the majorityofthe next decade.
Since Green Bay has a ficklefan base, Packers will move to a larger market.

GB actually has a decently young roster. great o-line and some good very young defenders on defense. they should trade rodgers, hes 31 and still has a lot of value look at what raiders got for khalil mack. GB trades him for 2 first rounders and moves on. he isnt winning another SB by the time that defense is really good he will be too old

No shot at job but Lions never should have canned him for Artie Lange's fatter brother.

I'm not sure if he is ready to coach in very cold weather. He is from the South. You need a tough guy to coach in Green Bay that is not afraid of cold.

agree, same with Pagano. I think they probably just wanted to talk to both of them to do their due diligence. Just like when your interviewing for jobs, it never hurts to have discussions with potential employers just to help see the overall picture.

They could have interviewed a black assistant on their staff instead of wasting their time with Caldwell. Why bother? The fan base would erupt with that awful of a hire.
Rooney Rule for Caldwell? What rule did they use for Chuck Pagano? The Idiot Rule?

The Packers will make a big splash. You may as well have not got rid of McCarthy otherwise.
Caldwell would be a great hire. Affirmative action thankfully alive and well. Blacks deserve chances just like us whites.

Packers now seeking an interview with Pat Fitzgerald of Northwestern? Again, are they kidding? Good college coach, that's it. He makes so many boneheaded calls each season, but nobody notices because it's Northwestern. Putting him on a big stage would be a disaster.
Rodgers should be very concerned with this process. There is no reason GB needs to interview 15 candidates. Focus on your Top 3 and go get them.
You wonder why there are so many bad NFL teams. The owners are the worst in all of the pro sports in hiring coaches.

That's what the Packers need, an old fart that has never won anything in the League. Man if we make that move, there was no point in sending Mike on his way.

I know the Pat Fitzgerald rumors have picked up a lot of steam. I donรขโฌโขt know what he said to his Northwestern team @ halftime tonight, but they played their hearts out. I very much doubt he would accept the job. He is very loyal to NW and the guy is wired differently than most. It just doesnรขโฌโขt seem like the right time.
My gut tells me Adam Gase followed by McDaniels and then LaFleur and Bieniemy, provided they get an interview and kill it.

caldwell... is a no balls loser
fuk him to this very day
always had that deer in headlights look every game... never had the balls to take a risk with manning as his qb. now look at what teams do today... he couldn't coach back in 09 and you are asking to set your franchise backwards if you hire him for 2019

Northwestern made a good showing at the Holiday Bowl. Could sweeten an offer.

How did Caldwell ever get an NFL head job? He was 26-63 at Wake Forest.
