Reuben Foster Charge Dropped

The misdemeanor charge of domestic battery for Redskins linebacker Reuben Foster has been dropped, as reported by TMZ. Foster remains on the league’s exempt list for the time being, but this could be a step towards an eventual return.

Foster was arrested in November for allegedly roughing up his ex-girlfriend, Elissa Ennis, at the 49ers’ team hotel in the Tampa area. Ennis also accused Foster of abuse in February but later recanted her story. Shortly thereafter, he was waived by the 49ers and claimed by the Redskins. The move by Washington was widely panned, though the Redskins say they that he will not play for them if the latest round of accusations are shown to have merit.

“The Redskins fully understand the severity of the recent allegations against Reuben. If true, you can be sure these allegations are nothing our organization would ever condone,” Williams said. “Let me be clear, Reuben will have to go through numerous steps, including the full legal process, an investigation and potential discipline from the NFL, as well as meetings with counselors associated with the team, before he will ever have the opportunity to wear the Burgundy and Gold as a player.”

It is pretty close to a career ending issue - more serious than a torn ACL - broken leg. The problem is the guy loses his career even if the law has not been broken. There is such a thing as aggravated assault - why not investigate these incidents to determine the level of aggravation to the domestic incident.

The performance enhancing drug issue is trying to cope with the problem with periodic drug testing. Could every player go through counseling sessions to determine if they need to practice on how to handle a screaming, kicking - female without losing their temper. That being said - are most of the domestic incidents - alcohol related?

The penalty technique just is not working - it is a big problem and will not get better because anger is addictive.

Female leaders won't approve money for stadiums if the stadium is being uses by a bunch of women beating men

You are guilty until proven innocent now when it comes to allegations of abuse. Star athletes, celebrities and positions of high corporate power are the most common targets.

The guilty until proven innocent part keeps getting worse. No consistency. You know how professionals buy e & o insurance - malpractice - cyber liability - etc. ? Going to have to invent me-too insurance. It does not make sense to me that the male is determined to be 100% wrong in all of these cases? LOL - do not go out with females who are not bonded! Any chick that screams, yells, or kicks - the guy can take it and get paid after turning in the claim? Bond enforces immediate divorce with no benefits-cease and desist order.

Right now the females that committ a wrongful act have absolutely no penalty. Big mouth women would never get bonded!
