Australian Open 2019 - Men's Singles

Entry fee is 10 POINTS paid to me. The draw is on Thursday January 10th at 6pm local time and the first round starts on Monday January 14th at 11:00am local time. You'll have until that time to enter your bracket for the entire tournament. Keep in mind that you'll be choosing the winner of each match from the first round until the final before the first match goes off so leave yourself some time for deciding your picks.

Entries will only be accepted via the Tennis Channel so that all of us can keep track of where we're at without having to worry about time differences.

You can now pre-register here

I have created a private contest for us but you'll need to separately register for the main contest if you want to be eligible for that one also. If you have to use a name different to your username here for whatever reason, please send me a PM so I know who to match up with who!

As for scoring we'll use the Tennis Channel's to make it as simple as possible:
First Round correct picks receive 1 point(s)
Second Round correct picks receive 2 point(s)
Third Round correct picks receive 3 point(s)
Fourth Round correct picks receive 5 point(s)
Quarterfinals correct picks receive 10 point(s)
Semifinals correct picks receive 20 point(s)

wow the draw is out already nice the aussie open gives u some time fill out bracket i remember french or wimbledon was like friday draw released and play started monday, kyrgios should be able to get thru that match poor tomic and duckworth, nadal isn't 100 pct so maybe can get a withdraw

I would love to see Alex wins but the problem is that every time an Aussie even just has a glimpse of doing something fantastic the media go crazy and overhype it to the point that the pressure is too much for the player to take. Time and time again it happens and the old pro just sits back while the crowd goes crazy and eventually the other player knocks themself out of the match. I would love to be wrong this time though!

I lived in Australia before (2 years **** best years of my life), Aussie media support their players like crazy, but I think the players take the pressure quite well compared to French players for instance, I heard it is crazy in Japan, people think Nishikori is the favorite in every match he plays
