Thats the beauty of boxing. You get knocked down, you fvcking get up and keep fighting.

UFC you just get pounded while your down & dazed and fights over. I hope all this mma faggot shit is just a fad thatll hopefully pass. I cant stand the wrestling/bar fight faggotry disguised as a sport.

Mayweather and Marquez are gonna be making $20-25 million each.

The top notch UFC fighters get is maybe 3mil.

My posts make a lot of sense. It's not my fault that your mental capacities are severely lacking.

You cannot make up for your intelligence deficiencies with sheer post volume.

Everyone has their own tastes and you're not convincing anyone to change their taste.

But regarding what Pecos said...to me, the beauty of a guy being knocked on his ass and the fight continuing is that there are several MMA guys who are 10x more dangerous on their back than they are on their feet. In most cases, the fight isn't close to over when a guy gets knocked down, it's just beginning.

But boxing isn't going anywhere and I would never try to tell someone that MMA is better than boxing, even though it is. But nobody can deny the huge surge in popularity that MMA has made over the last several years, and that makes me happy.

No matter how slow boxing is it will always have a bigger star than MMA. Name a bigger star than Pac-man, Bread? Exactly.

LOL You don't know what you're talking about...just the very fact that there's good white MMA fighters than can box prove that you're wrong. It's just one of those things where a race moves away from a sport. The very same way Blacks are leaving baseball.

Either way - don't pay attention to what JJ says either. He said lack of a White star is what killed Boxing. Yeah - Boxing has been hooooorrible the last 50 years.

Boxing is not going anywhere because it already reached Mt. Everest. MMA is at Mt Rushmore right now and the only way is up. That doesn't mean it will ever be more popular than boxing.

I also want to add that Kelly Pavlik is one of my favorites. I love watching his fights. The loss against the Executioner was a set-back but the guy is good.

I just said I could give a fukk if you like boxing more than MMA. Good for you.

I would hope that boxing currently has a bigger star and makes more money and sells more PPV's since it has been around for hundreds of years. I would say there is a high probability though that as the older generations die off, and MMA continues to grow, the two will flip flop in all categories. MMA will be bigger than boxing in my lifetime.

But until then, you enjoy your boxing, and I'll enjoy my MMA, and the world goes round and round.

First off , lets get a few things clear.

                                        1. As a fighter, MMA is safer in the long run. When you get hit and stay down for a bit, get yourself together, your brain swells, then getting it hit even more does horrible long term damage. I love to fight, but i also wanna have a life after I retire. Say what you will about me and my prioritys, but im willing to bet iv put on more gloves then some of you MMA haters have put on condoms.

                                        2. Mr Bill, you saw whites dont have the bitter gamness to be fighters ? Why dont you do some pyscology research ? Then you can do a study on Race & Culture. Are you saying that black people cant swim because they dont have the will to float ? Or maybe its because alot of black culture is located in heavily populated cites and alot of them dont get to the beach or pools to often as a young kid and becomes alot harder to learn when your older. Maybe i have lost you at this point, but i digress, boxing is a popular for blacks and hispanics (i may sound a lil politically incorrect but we are who we are and one look at my myspace and you can tell im not racist in any way.) How many times do you see an old white guy taking his son to the same boxing gym he used to go to ?? Not to often. Little league field ? Yes. Same with soccer. Most kids give it up after middle school, but it is very popular in hispanic culture. Not saying that whites and blacks cant play, cause Team USA showed us they can this year, but the ratio of hispanics to blacks/whites in terms of overall people who can play soccer well is very lopsided. Course, i wouldnt expect to much thought from a fan who uses the phrase fight faggotry. Also, im pretty sure Calzaghe went undeafted even beating Hopkins, who claimed he would never let a white man beat him.

                                        3. I really like how you claim that MMA isnt real fighting. Dana white offered pretty boy floyd more money then he was making vs De la hoya to go and fight Sean Sherk. Floyd denied. But he still bashed MMA to try and hype up his fight. That was cute. In a real fight, it goes to the ground 90% of the time. Do you know how much hard work you got to put into getting a blackbelt ??? Do you know how much thought process you have to put into being able to punch , kick, knee , go to the ground , ground and pound without getting rolled over , and be conscience of your opponent whos could do any one of those things to you ??? the training is insane.

Bottom line. MMA sales blow away Boxing sales. the fighters make ALOT from sponsers. MMA has the biggest stars , pick up a copy of every Muscle and fitness magazine in the next year and count the amount of MMA fighters feautred as opposed to the amount of boxers featured. The truth is , MMA is still growing. More and more wrestlers are moving over because there are no REAL PRO Wrestling circuts worth fighting for. There are alot more college wrestlers then their are collge boxers. The sport is always evolving. guys who were great five years ago are getting destroyed today. Also, the fights are much of a much faster pace. Every fight from top to bottom has amazing potential to be exciting. You cant really say that in boxing. Granted , you will still get some amazing boxing fights such as Corrales vs. Castillo, but those fights are becoming few and far between. If you can sit their and say that Deigo Sanchez Vs. Clay Guida was boring, then you are obviously a boxing biasd non fight fan who should keep his opinions to himself instead of trying to run MMA thru the dirt with your ignorant uninformed post. Boxing and MMA can co exist. I know you think MMA is a threat to your sport, but as a boxing fan, i am all to aware that the sport was fading long before MMA got popular.

In closing, i also feel there are some racist idiots (black, white, spanish or asian) out there who want boxing or MMA to rise above the other because they see it as some kind of racial culture war. Look deep inside yourself. If that is any of you, then you need to re think your prioritys and views on life in general. Life cant really be taking that seriously. Live, be happy, let the boxers box, the grapplers grapple, the kickboxers kick. If you dont like it, dont watch it. Life is way to short and as iv learned this year, it can end way to early and way to sudden.
