Championships are won through free agency today. Knicks have had top 5 picks every year. Suns top 5 picks every year. Those teams can't even make the playoffs. Philly had to go out and get Tobias and Jimmy Butler in trades, and they're still not the best team out east. Anyone thinking you can build a championship team through the draft and these "young and talented players" is a fool. You literally have to strike gold in today's era of free agency.

you missed the biggest one of all. what if kd stays in okc. they were the better talented team. gsw better coached. but gsw hate playing against length and okc had that and could score with anyone. its why they were up 3-1 in warriors anyway before they crashed. not to mention if kd was to go back to okc after this season they again become the best team with him, pg, and russ; but him and russ have too much pride to do it.
