He's too slow, he's a good shooter and he's tall but he's not fast enough to guard smaller quicker players and that's where the league is right now. 10 Years ago he would have been a top 5 pick but now I wouldn't be surprised to see him fall out of the top 18, if he has to switch pick and rolls he'll get destroyed, I'd lean over.
I keep thinking there's some GM that's fascinated with height, but I keep flip flopping. Might have to stay away, but I do like hearing opinions. Thanks.
“The thing I’ll remember is definitely being drafted late in the second round instead where I thought I was going to be drafted, like somewhere between the middle of the first round or toward the end,” Bol said.
Nuggets president of basketball operations Tim Connelly said he viewed Bol as a high-value pick. Deeper into the draft and with Bol still on the board, Connelly said the Nuggets got more aggressive in trying to obtain a second-round pick.
“We thought we were going to get a guy that was greatly undervalued as the night progressed,” Connelly said. “Who knows where we’ll be picking in the future, but when you get a guy with the tools like Bol Bol, it’s hard not to be aggressive. And it’s hard not to be excited.”
“My foot is 100 percent healed,” Bol said. “I just recently started getting back on the court like a month ago, and I’ve slowly just been doing workouts.”
the kid can already shoots lights out. if he can evolve defensively and pose a threat in the paint and start blocking 2-3-4 shots a game then he'll be in a class of his own. he shouldn't have slipped past the lottery just based on pure potential. to snatch him in the 2nd rd knowing that he can already knock down an open shot makes him a steal as a project player. and a fun project at that. fans will love him
