So here’s the story.....
Me and the wife we’re on a mini vacation in AC the last few days. We had tickets for the MMA PFL fights at Ocean Resort last night.
Before the fights last night I tried to log into my William Hill app figuring I’d load my account and bet the fights throughout the night. I had forgotten my password (haven’t used since March). I hit the reset my password link and it sends me an email to confirm. I click on the link in the email but it does not work. I call WH customer service and they say it’s a known problem when using iPhones and there’s no fix other than using another device. They are unable to help me.
So at this point, I have my wife open an account and I will use her account to put bets in. She uses the promo code to get the free $50 after placing $50 in bets. She goes to window at sportsbook and makes a deposit (they request identification). Account is now loaded and we go into fights. On her phone I make several wagers throughout the night all between $20-$100. We net -$20 for the night. Halfway through the night her battery was low so I started using my phone instead.
Fast forward to this morning. I go to log in and it says incorrect account number/password. I know I was typing correctly. My wife calls and they inform her that the account is suspended and is under review for fraud! We are like WTF??? They said she cannot make any withdrawals until investigation is complete (up to 7 days). She argues we are leaving NJ and heading back to NY and they shouldn’t be holding her funds. They explain there’s nothing they can do until investigation is over and if we’re in NY when we request a withdrawal, we can only get their debit card.
I would also like to point out that the bonus was never received (don’t even care about it really). Just want my funds released.
I strongly believe WH is illegally holding my funds. I did not break any of their rules. I don’t see any rules on their site that says two people from same household can’t have an account.
Fukk William Hill!!!
Good thing I had gas and toll money to get home
