Went to Jersey last Saturday. Pointsbet sent me $750 free play bonus and I bet all of their $6 per TD NCAA games. Ended up being $900 in free plays. Also did the TheScore $200 bonus and $100 bet365 bonus.

Other than taking them up on their free plays and promotions I bet all offshore. You are wrong about easy deposits/withdrawals as Bitcoin is the greatest thing ever. I hope my state doesn't end up implementing sports betting because like you said, bettors are getting railed with these trash lines. Yet people are so happy to bet into them and be delusional that they can beat them too.

This will be an evolution of sorts. That is one thing offshore has taught us-get the absolute best price on your side or total in the marketplace. The only way places offshore survive with high juice and clone lines is by offering big bonuses. By now-everybody that plays offshore will turn down high juice offers.

So, a question - out of 100 SBR pros - we want to bet La Tech tonight @ 6 1/2 -110. We walk into a state Sportsbook and their line is -7 @ -120. How many of the 100 would make that bet or just get on their phone and bet it offshore?

JJ, this is one of your best threads in awhile.

I still say you can beat a game but you can’t beat the games.
This is my approach and has been for years and you’ve known me online for a decade now so you know.
Spot playing is the way to go, high volume betting will destroy your bankroll, betting on 6 NCAA football games on Saturday and four NFL games on Sunday and going 5 and 5 is not going to do it.
Flat betting just 50 bucks a game at the standard 10 percent juice you’re minus 25 dollars for the weekend, so you need to go 6 and 4 or better every weekend if betting 10 games is your style, and the regular Joe bettor is not going 6 and 4 three times out of four weekends a month. The ten percent vig will eat at your bankroll like Chinese water torture so you are 1000 percent correct when you say betting with reduced juice is imperative to staying alive.

But I’m not saying anything new here most everybody knows what I just said but it just doesn’t sink in for most bettors.

I personally think Baltimore beats KC outright on Sunday so I went line shopping.
5Dimes is offering me Baltimore +210 and KC -250.
That’s not a dime line, that’s a 40 cent line for the love of God.
Books are making a fortune if they get equal amounts of action on each side.
And that’s just on a 5.5 point spread.

Just for shits and giggles I’m looking at the Cowboy lines and the Patriot lines.
Using 5Dimes again they’re offering +1625 Jets money line and -3250 Pats.

You think Miami can pull off the monumental upset? You can get +1500 but you
Have to lay -3000 if you think Dallas wins.
The middles on those two games are obscene.

What’s also interesting here is 5Dimes has the Jets +22 +1625 money line and the Pats -3250
and the Dolphins +23 points +1500 money line and the Cowboys -3000.
The Dolphins are getting a point more than the Jets but are getting 1.25 less than the Jets on the money line.
I have a few theories as to why that is.

Prop bets too.
Some of the middles on prop bets are also obscene however I still maintain prop bets can be exploited.
i was once criticized by a dingbat who’ll remain nameless telling me there’s no math involved in betting baseball.
The true odds of a batter fouling off the first pitch of a full count (3-2 pitch) is -120
I was offered +130 in the All Star game several years back (Bovada offered that prop bet) knowing this just for shits and giggles I jumped on it and sure as shit that pitch was fouled off.
Point being props can be beat if you do the math work and stay away from the ridiculous vig.
But you have to put in the work and dig.

Getting back to my original point, I have always had an over the top passion for baseball, a low volume spot player that finds value in say +130 underdogs that stays away from laying -180 or -220 on favorites can grind out a profit long term providing one stays clear of ridiculous juice.

There are times to bet -210 favorites in baseball and that’s with a two money line favorites parlay but that’s another story for another day.

My point is - eventually - all of the donkeys and squares will leave offshore and all they will have left is sharps against sharps. Might have a few ho's left. Sharps won't even touch state casinos if there is no value so the state casinos will have donkeys and squares. What an invention. Locals will probably lose volume as well.
