It's tine to play a round of MLB who am I?
I had an incredible consecutive six year run.
I hit over .300 in each and every year of that six year run (.327 on the average) not only that my OBA was .372 on the average over that span, and I also averaged 203 a hits a year with 27 home runs and 114 RBI's

These are my stats for those six consecutive seasons.

    Who am I?

No. Decent player, one of the worst managers of all time. Hall of Fame is not for him. Not even close.

Donnie baseball does not belong in the HOF

If he were an outfielder and has a shortened career due to his bad back he'd get considerable attention, however, as a 1b he's gotta get one of the 500 / 3000/ career .315+ stats to even get a sniff. Unfortunately he had 6 great seasons and 6 underachieving seasons.

There were other 1b that statistically were better / comparable in some of that span too. Hrbek, Mcgwire, Evans, McGriff, Murray, Clark, etc.

You prob right but considering how low your standards are for the Nfl Hof i find it odd you have higher standards in mlb? If he played for whomever your team is then he be a shoe in? Lol

Very odd considering all the Yankees greats. He doesn’t belong in freakin yankee HOF.

There was an old joke that ran in New York City when Donnie was in that six year zone, it went like this.
Mattingly might be the best first baseman in the American League but he's not even the best first baseman in New York. (Keith Hernandez)

Interesting....I'm not a homer but the Kirby Puckett/ Tony Oliva case comes to mind here.

I believe both are HOFers but Kirby got in Tony O didn't. Both had shortened careers.

NFL jury will decide fate on Cousins if he continues this amazing trajectory of a career that has yet to peak....7 more years of this and he's in. Yes I'd put Steve Jordan in ahead of Gates, theres too many of the 00s pass catching TEs coming up, there is an under represented TE decade of the 80s and Bavarro and Jordan deserve to be in as they represent an era of change in the position.

If Tony Oliva belongs in the Hall so does Vada Pinson.
If Olivia and Pinson belong than why not Mattingly and Steve Garvey.

Speaking of Mattingly and Garvey they are both up for Hall of Fame voting (Veterans Committee)
For the record I am on the fence regarding both of them.

I did a side by side comparison comparing Garvey's career and Mattingly's career.
My conclusion is the only difference is Garvey stayed healthy for 19 years.
Garvey had a similar six year block as Mattingly.
Mattingly in those six years was a six time All Star. So was Garvey.
Mattingly was an MVP, an MVP runner up and had two other top ten finishes. Here's what's strange, so did Garvey.
Mattingly won 5 Gold Gloves in those 6 years, Garvey won 4.
I place a premium on defense both were the finest fielding first basemen of our generation.
I give a shit about defense, the Hall voters don't.
If defense mattered Lou Whitaker should be in if Phil Rizzuto is in.
Not for nothing Lou Whitaker is also on that Veterans Committee ballot next week too.

Here's that six year block comparison I was speaking of.
Note the K to BB ratio of Mattingly's.
