    USA Sportsbook Payouts via USPS
I was in Tunica, MS over the Summer and made a few successful futures wagers on college football season win totals at the Horseshoe Sportsbook. I don't want to travel back down to cash these in person and followed the instructions on the back of the tickets and mailed the them this week by USPS. My question is does anyone have any experience on how long the turnaround time is to receive the funds back from the Sportsbook when mailing in tickets? Thanks.

I've sent to Vegas before and it took about 2 to 3 weeks. I made sure I sent it certified mail.

I as well on the certified mail. I haven't experienced this before and I knew this was the place to ask. Thank you for the response.

On a side note it is always good to look at the back of your ticket. I always assumed that winning tickets were good for a year after the event. Not in this case for me as it stated that tickets were good for 60 days from completion of the event.

How much is the ticket worth? I had a big ticket on Giacomo to win the derby in '05 and Caesar's actually gave me a free suite for 5 days to cash the ticket in person instead of certified mail.

3 tickets just north of $1400 total. My impression this football season dealing with a Caesar's sportsbook here in Indiana is they don't really care about this part of their business.

                I assume
You made copies of the tickets before you mailed them, correct?

I've sent them to sportsbooks in Vegas via Certified Mail that way you get a return receipt for who signed for the package. I was fortunate to have it certified since I had to call them 4 weeks later and confirm who signed for it. I'm not sure I would have gotten paid without that confirmation. Back of ticket had all the instructions.

And as BB stud indicates, keeping copies helps.
