Honestly, I do not know the answer to that.

But you have been here long enough to recall when USA users felt that you had it better when they had no access to sportsbook cash or bitcoin?

I think part of it is legal advice on how to tread the line promoting offshores whilst staying USA legal, and some of it is security issues trying to not leak a lot of bitcoin to non-genuine site users from around the world, and possibly part of it is that the main bread and butter the site earns comes from US based users and this was the only safe way to reward them in some way better than electronics, pizzas and gift cards, but its too expensive to offer wider than that. But I am just making educated guesses there.

To be clear, getting bitcoin into US$ or CDN$ is a pain in the ass and also too much time to pay attention to it.

I loved the ability to cash out for gift cards and other stuff that makes it fun.

The folks I got to know well were less active on Poker (which was my main focus) and therefore less enjoyable for me.

I have been swamped with work and before Covid, I was travelling a bit so I have had less time.

My personal and family life has become very busy, all of my kids are in college/university and my grandkids are awesome!

Oh and I have been brewing a lot of beer with friends and one of my beers made it into a Cask Beer Festival and was very well received!

Those are the reasons for me not signing up and not being able to be active.

If my situation or other benefits change, I might come back, I just don't have the time to focus on this.

For the small amount of real $$ that I have spent on this site, the benefits of real $$ value and friends I have made have been awesome and I will always appreciate SBR for all that they have done!

I wish all of you the best, especially in the recent trying times!

Why do you assume that not being able to afford the donation is the issue? Seems unlikely.

Far more likely imo that people go through different phases in their life - perhaps many of them do not view gambling and by association SBR as a priority at the moment (or maybe they've quit gambling altogether) so as such it does not make sense for them to be a PRO here since they perhaps aren't around much/not gambling.

Been many I'm sure who've decided not to renew pro membership here - could be a whole list of reasons as to why, and I doubt not being able to afford $100/year is one of the bigger ones.

Don't get me wrong, it's disappointing that folks like Gummo/Beerdog, good people, would decide for whatever reason not to renew their membership. Just don't think they or anyone else should be blasted for it or called a broke-dikk (bobbywaves style) for making that choice which they viewed to be in their best interest given where they are in their life.
