I'm not talking about only sports betting. I'm talking about all forms of gambling. If I can place the same bets on blackjack, poker, slots, etc etc from my home, instead of travelling to Vegas, then why would I travel to Vegas to do that?
If you are arguing that Vegas can survive and have gambling not be the pull, but rather shows/vacation destination be the appeal, etc etc...then I'll just disagree. I don't think travelling to a desert is that big of a pull anymore.Comment -
#73Bankruptcies will be announced very soon

#79Vegas will be back to normal next year.Comment -
#80Will be a bloodbath in the short term... Penn already dumped Trop in a leaseback deal. Could have been in the works but there will be some short term pain. They will adjust and reduce costs coming back.Comment -
#81If they do come back it’s gonna take a very long time people are just going to go back like nothing ever happenedComment -
#82Does the governor's order to close casinos for a month end on April 17th?Is he gonna extend the order by another month?Comment -
#83
so they at least think there's hope that they reopen on april 17thComment -
#84nothing is re opening in April lol
JULY EARLIESTComment -
#85The way they have been gouging people for years with that ridiculous resort fee, they will get no sympathy from me.Comment -

#88I agree many will a oid crowds fir a few yearsComment -
#89I don't work on the strip/Fremont, but I received an email from my work that I am out till the middle of MayComment -
#90There could be tremendous devastation in Vegas if they open too early the best thing to do is wait until JulyComment -
#91People love to gamble, Vegas will be fine.
It's just like drinking alcohol, if alcohol went away for 2 or 3 months just as soon as it came back people would start drinking again and the bars would re-open. Somethings just won't go away.Comment -

Personally, I think it's a great time to remodel and upgrade everything.
I passed by some non-strip casinos, and they were barricaded. Looks like they're not doing anything, though.Comment -

#94All Clark County has to do is legalize prostitution.
Boom....all hotels 95% booked and then some
Tables games + shows + food bring in the $$$Comment -
#95Of course, JJ, will be the first to celebrate when anything bad happens to this cityComment -

Vegas will keep on rolling in a few short weeks....Comment -
#98I think they are. Section off DT area as a red light district and do it classy....that and legal street weed for personal use. Strip will always have the food and shows, DT has the weird factor!
Could also give comped tours of damn, etc to first 10k visitors in April or stuff like that.
Vegas will be fineComment -
#99NYC won't be though. What a fukkin shithole that place is. All the filthy trash spreading the virus all over mfers. Bodies gonna pile up in the piss smelling streets. Nevada will be fine very low amount of cases and deaths compared to other states. NY is done. RIP Jets, Mets, Knicks, Nets, Rangers, Isles. Anybody under the age of 40 never even knew ya anyway.Comment -

The reason it’s the epicenter for COVID-19 is because 8.6 million people live in a small area, not because it’s a “shithole”.Comment -

Gotta pay those bills buddy...Comment -
#103It's good that they closed the casinos. It could have spread easily with people touching chips and cards and then their faces when they lose the bets. Slot machines would also be hard to keep clean.Comment -

If coronavirus doesn’t catch up to you this year I hope some Mexicans cave your skull in.Comment -
