It's smart until one fighter or cameraman gets the virus. Then UFC is in the spotlight for jumping the gun too early, and it sets them back even further than other sports that are waiting it out. Especially if it happens on this island, that would put the entire investment down the toilet. Once it's contaminated, operations will cease entirely.
