I didn't set it to anything. I simply created the contest in 30 seconds. If it was set to 5 weeks then that would've been the default they had preset at the time as I definitely didn't have the time/desire/Internet functionality to be dikking around with settings at that point.

I'll go in and try to figure out how to adjust settings now but I've already made my picks for this week so whatever's happening with the contest it must still assume we're still going

The Tattslotto drawing question was incorrectly scored by the website.

The first number drawn was EVEN (first number was 30). They scored it as ODD. Here's the Youtube video of the drawing.

Ummm it was a joke mate... as in this contest was only being held because we were in lockdown in Australia and my footy contest had to be postponed. Stop you're fukking whining about a basically free contest that I'm paying out of my own little betpoint wallet. It was started to keep us occupied during isolation with zero sports available. When the contest was created it only had the option of weeks 1-5 as I'm sure even the guys at ESPN didn't think this would be still going 5 weeks later.

I’m not new but I haven’t gotten to know the SBR personalities much. But in life there are some people that you can be amicable with and others you just can’t. That’s life. I can disagree with something even an administrator does, which I know seems to be a huge no no around here. But if she felt the need to disqualify my entry, then so be it.

Agreed. I didn’t really take into account it wasn’t SBR sanctioned, I just assumed it would be because of her role. With the way her first post was worded, I sent her a PM suggesting that if she was willing to do a weekly thing, as she said in her OP, it would be reasonable to split the payout and do like a 1st half and 2nd half since the weeks changed but I didn’t receive a response and at that point it was still set to 5 weeks. I didn’t see she had updated til it was too late to do the first two week 6 picks which weigh a little heavier because of the season long tiebreaker being tied to the first pick.

But I have for Shar learned my lesson lol.

What’s ghostly about my account? I mean I’d think a ghost account would stiff loans or have an irregular ledger that didn’t add up or something. My store purchases may be a little fishy since I flip between bitcoin sportsbook cash and bitcoin and even combined the two once to make a $5000 redemption of bitsportsbookcoincash.

I entered mine about 6 hours ago and just checking the site now it looks like the first pick needs to be in before 11:59 Friday Melbourne, Australia time (and no Aussie isn't offensive )

AFL is back next week so I assume ESPN will flick this contest at that point as it was only put in place to substitute for no AFL or NRL comps. For those who entered the AFL one that may potentially be another can of worms as I received an email from ESPN this week offering the chance to just ditch round 1 results from two flippin months ago and start fresh with round 2 or just keep those first week results. Think I may just make a poll or something on the weekend if I remember. A positive of ditching the first round is that it opens it up to more people being able to join but on the flipside whomever's leading may not find it too fair!

Oh and for those worried about my ranking in this contest, I never claim winnings in contests I put on unless they're being paid out by SBR and that's usually just my tennis ones so if I happen to win the prize will go to the next in line. I just play for the fun of it and something to do

So ESPNfootytips.com has not set up week 8 Novelty contest picks yet. They used to be up by Tuesday night.
I sent them a note 10 hours ago asking about it. Their response 1 hour later was, "we are working to resolve it as soon as possible".

I just checked agains and there is still nothing to pick for week 8. The first question has always been about temperature in Sydney at 3:00 PM on Saturday. That's 6-7 hours from now so it is becoming doubtful they are going to get the contest up this week.

I'm guessing with AFL coming back, they don't have much interest in keeping the Novelty contest going.


If they don't post week 8 picks, can we call this contest over?
Of course, I'd like to call it done, since I'm in first and Opti is in second and is making it a closer contest than I'd like.

ESPNfootytips did not provide week 8 picks. Yesterday morning, I sent footytips a request for clarification on if they were going to continue with Novelty tips. They typically reply to any questions within a couple of hours. I've still not gotten a reply. It appears this contest is over.
