#81You lot are so naive. You think these players give a fkcu if their team gets a good pick? They care about mins & usage rate because that affects their chance to showcase and thus make money. Getting a good pick may well worsen a player's status in the hierarchy.
Summer league is ultra competitive every year. What do they play for? A job, a role, good favour with the coach...Comment -

#83Lillard needs someone in his age group. Can't be waiting on a kid to develop -even a phenom such as Williamson. Someone like Griffin or Gallinari would fit the Blazers nicely.
Speaking of Lillard, he was that young star when Aldridge was THE MAN in Portland. My case in point: Aldridge left because he wasn't willing to wait.
Anyway... top picks should go to the worst team, not the best of the lottery teams, otherwise the playoff bubble would be a contest to MISS the playoffsComment -

You can miss the playoffs, that doesn't mean you're gonna win the next tournament. There's not much difference between an 8 seed and a 10th seed. Losing should not be rewarded in the NBA.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#88Silver loves LeBron, don't forget he suspended Draymond Green for no reason in the finals just to prolong the series and manufacture the fakest 3-1 comeback and finals series since stern fukked cuban and the Mavs in 06.
As long as LeBron and Davis don't report contracting covid, the league will happen. Doesn't matter if over 50% of the players are quarantined. They'll pull up G league guys to give LeBron another astericked titleComment -

With regards to the second bubble, James Dolan didn't even send a team rep to participate with silver and the other teams on a conference call.

#95A lot of people say this, but Dallas was up by 15 points with like 7 min to go in game 3, and were about to take a commanding 3-0 lead, and then as you know it would have been over. Wade was making some ridiculous shots.

#96All FTs, layups, wide open jump shots -never seen a guy fall down on a wide open shot so many times.
Mavs had a v.inexperienced coach. And NBA wanted Wade to be a bit like Mike.Comment -
#97Mavs went and got Carlisle shortly after that. They learned their lesson. If you want to go all the way you can't go cheap on the coach.Comment -

And he didn't really shoot many free throws in the last 7 min of that game. Think he had like one and1, and then free throws at the end when he was intentionally fouled. The layups he made were tough layups for a 6'4 guard.
We're talking about game 3 here. The series wasn't rigged because if it was, NBA wouldn't have allowed Dallas to take a 3-0 lead, and if Wade misses even one of those jumpers (does the ref have a remote control that dictates what goes in???), then Miami was toast in the series. No one is coming back from 3-0.
If series was rigged, officials would never allow game 3 to be so 1 sided until the final quarter....
So that pretty much disproves that theory.
Maybe as the series went on and went, refs took more of a liking to Wade and gave him a few phantom calls.
But Lakerman is right, Dallas went cold as hell, and they were out-toughed by Miami. Miami had a lot of desperate veterans on that team that weren't willing to give up.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

#100You have to actually make the shots... Mavs were giving Wade room to shoot, they had no choice, no one in the world could stay in front of him at that point in time.

The common theme in the one sided officiated series (or in silvers case downright suspending a player) is that both teams that lost practically quit mentally. Watching it was painful bc the whole world knew they were put in that situation in a manufactured sense rather than an organic one. Dirk and curry folding under the pressure that was created from the refs rather than the opponent was a doubled edged blade. It cuts both waysComment -
#101This is starting to heat up and get good now.
3 players for Miami have now tested positive, multiple members of various coaching staffs and Landry shamet of the clippers.
As long as LeBron and company don't report a positive test, silver is going to keep on trucking. Fukking hilariousComment -
