    Delaware sports betting news
Delaware signed a contract with Scientific Games to provide all the lines and betting options that will be available to their books.

On Sporting News radio the spokesman just said that the "wagers available to the bettor in Delaware will be every bit as comprehensive as those offered in any Nevada sportsbook".

This is accurate, the leagues did however file an appeal on Monday asking the 3rd circuit court of appeals in philly to override the federal judges district court ruling to deny an injunction. I am awaiting this decision eagerly as I already booked a room at dover downs the first weekend dover will be offering sports betting september 5th and will be pissed if the court overturns this and places an injunction on sports betting

No chance in hell they'll grant an injunction on appeal. Of course, there was no chance they'd grant it at the trial level either.

I am a bit surprised by all of this though - Delaware's constitution allows lotteries, but not gambling. They're treating sports singles as lotteries.

With Jimmy Vaccaro at the helm, don't expect to much value.

Is chance the predominant factor in sportsbetting? We all say no because we think we can beat it but yes it is. the game is a game of skill but picking a single game against a spread is chance. The point should not be whether the event is a game of chance but rather turning a profit is skill or chance and the line and ml price makes it chance.

They will have 3 horse track/slot casinos that will offer it, table games will come early next year. We will have to see how the sports betting turns out but bare minimum they will have parlays on football and hopefully all sports single betting option. This is slated to begin Sept. 1. Sportsbooks will be open for buisiness thus my reservation to stay at dover downs hotel casino on September 4th/5th the first weekend and a good college football weekend also.

I will report back with pictures and a video if possible of the sportsbook regardless of whether they place an injunction or not as there should still be some type of NFL parlay betting and they apparently spent 5 million dollars to build this thing andf make it top class all the way.

Top, you are right, fed judges can be stuffy arrogant prickolas. However, the Philly circuit usually skews toward states' rights. That is the same court that allowed Pennsylvania to open their casinos when all those appeals were filed.

I expect Delaware will win this fast track option easily.

Thanks for that tid bit MB I was not aware of that. I have been following this very closely from early this year and have been hoping that things would play out how they have so far. For anyone that does not know I am in the DC baltimore region and could be at either delaware park in wilmington or dover downs or even harrington in well under 2 hours thus my vested interest. i am excited to check this out and have the ultimate security of funds.

I"m going to go to Delaware Park opening night to see how much of a zoo it will be but from there on out Dover and Harrington. Delaware is such a small state they are all close by (40 mins apart each) but Delaware Park will bet too busy. Its the one closest to Maryland, NJ,and PA.

It will be calmer and nicer down state where you can sit and enjoy the games not be shoulder to shoulder.

That is a very sharp question.

Anyone here with more experience on the legality of this want to step in?

My only guess would be Yes.

Since in Vegas you can bet on fights in Vegas.

Why not be able to bet Nascar at Dover, in Dover.

Yes ex unless something changes they will! As a matter of fact Nascar is very supportive of the sports betting measure

Nascar has acknowledged this point several times stating their drivers know they can't bet the races but are welcome to gamble on anything else and that they race in vegas and have never had any trouble, Nascar realizaes how much more shit they will sell and has $ $ instead of eyes even thinking about this possibility
