I thought the OVER was risky because they kept saying they would stop the bout at the slightest thing...cut, etc.

I see that Askren is avialable at +142 or better. I have to think about this.

I can tell u the history of Ben being under-rated. He would rank very hi on the all-time list of "Looks vulnerable, but is actually tough as hell."

Hi-school: *Won 2 state wrestling titles in WI. Very likely would have won 3 but had to wrestle thru an injury that forced him to wrestle on one leg.

College: *WIS hc Barry Davis passed on recruting Ben, mostly b/c Ben doesn't look athletic (I think). Huge gaffe, as Ben red-shirted and then went 2/2/1/1 at NCAAs at Missouri. Won 2 Hodge trophies and finished on 87-match win streak.

Freestyle: Made the Olympic team w/o a ton of preparation. Didn't medal.

MMA: Was undefeated in Bellator for a long time. Got a shot in UFC, and Mazvidal crushed him w/ the knee.

Has been doing a lot of wrestling coaches. At Wisconsin and at club.

I think Ben would admit to striking being his weakness. I have to think about this one. Trying to wrap my head around how this isn't the wrong-side Favorite.

Just don't like the idea of Boxing match isolating Ben's skill weakness. At the very end, GSP mentions this being a huge payday, so maybe a cash-grab for Ben.

Ben had that hip surgery I think less than 8 months ago, after which he couldn't really even exercise at all for 3 months he said... and he also has what looked like a 1 1/2 - 2 foot long scar in that area. All fresh... a few good body blows and he will probably fold. His past accolades and achievements can't make up for the fact that he has an old and broken down body.

On the flipside, the only real angle I have on this Paul guy, is that I heard Zab Judah say very convincingly that he can box, and that he seriously has hands.
