A+ recruiter and C+ coach. He had better players consistently at Kansas and couldn’t win. Had good players at UNC and couldn’t lose.

Same here. People give him shit for coaching but when the scandal hit the school and he didn't get the top notch recruits, like before, he still went to back to back championship games with players he coached up for years as 3 star products. I mean Luke Maye, enough said.

A great Roy memory = Roy (still at KS) telling Bonnie Bernstein to go shine after losing NCAA final. Bernstein needled him TWICE about potentially going to UNC.

He went to the Final four 5 times in the 2000's. He has 9 appearances, second only to Dean Smith who has 11.

Really in this spot I’d imagine Roy is gonna have a lot of say, and I think Hubert will get the job and I think that’s probably the right move. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was planned for some time
