I am sure they miss your business, Shady! At least in Las Vegas, you can get a free newspaper with room service - pretty much the only time it's worth getting.

only thing I may look at are all the sale advertisements..and the girls in the macys brochure

all other news is stale

True story..years ago some sob kept stealing my sunday paper..One morning I got up at the crack of dawn..

got my paper off the lawn and gutted aout all my required reading ( ports, tv guide etc)

then I picked up a couple piles of my german sheperds dog shit and put it inside the paper and threw it back out on the lawn.

later that morning I noticed the paper was gone

Thankfully it has had the exact opposite effect. I use to pay $175/month for a 3 line ad and now pay $205 for a 6 line ad. They are constantly calling me with new specials. The service directory shrunk from 2 pages on Sunday's to about a half page here.

You want to talk about a section that has shrunk..years ago the classifieds add on sunday were like the yellow pages

now you are lucky to see 2 pages ( refering to job classified section}

Well it's good for now as I'm still getting business from the ad, but this thread and the fact that the newspaper is becoming a bit more obsolete every day is not. One thing in my favor is my ad also posts on the newspapers website for those who do not subscribe.

Still get the Sunday paper delivered. Like to look at the ads and look for decent coupons. Still in the habit of sitting on the coach Sunday morning reading the paper.

Yeah, job searching is mostly all online now. I think paper ads are only placed if a company wants to cover their ass and claim they posted the job in "all possible ways" - even though they probably already have the candidate they want anyway.

Most newspapers are on the verge of bankruptcy due to the INTERNET, I guess some major papers are still good but that is about it.

Thats the main reason I only buy the sunday paper. Other reasons is I like looking at the store circulars and see whats on sale.
