Feel better about this Memphis play than anything I have in the last month. Took a break for a second. Watched the condensed version from several games this season from each team. Basically identical QB play and the stats reflect that. Memphis has had some injuries but the guys filling in have done well and put some good plays on tape last week. Memphis head coach is a gambler, only thing that worries me. Guy is fearless. Went for a 2 last week against ECU and failed. Went for a 4th and 12 and 4th and 11 against SMU and both were converted. Houston definitely more explosive on offense but they are also more of a finesse team then Memphis. I also want no part of ever backing a Dana Holgerson led team as a favorite. Memphis played Miss State early this season and Leach and Holgerson run very similar style offense. I have the Cougars winning by 6-8 points. That’s why I am betting it now. +8.5 is all I need to cover IMO.

Bought out of the Cowboys and took the Saints. Too much Cowboys love. Who cares if they got some WR back, it’s a short week and this team hasn’t had time to get in rhythm in my opinion. Since I’m only posting record on winning and losing plays and not units I’m only going to grade the Saints +6 for my record. If it loses I will add it as one loss. If I was posting units I would include both but as long as the Saints cover the 6 I turn a profit.

What really pissed me off about that game was Sean Payton wouldn’t stop having him throw it when he had a damn splint on the middle finger of his throwing hand. They couldn’t run it for a while then they got some runs and the d backed off and Payton kept throwing it. My bad for changing my play on that game.
