Mac, I've been (mostly) out of the game for a while. Pro sports USED TO be "reversion to the mean." Under current COVID situation, I think the roster makes average Team Value pretty irrelevant.

But Lonzo is usually good for at least 20 in this spot and he dishes out nice dimes and plays defense. Dosunmu can't make that up. Coby White is solid but how many minutes can you play him? So who will run point? If Caruso doesn't play, I think I'm loading up more.

I'm hearing Caruso will play on a minutes restriction. That's huge for Chicago as Caruso is a great defender. Dammit.

But can him, Dosunmu and Coby direct the offense? I think they may struggle a bit in the half court. We'll see.

KLove is averaging 2.5 threes a game coming off the bench. I think he has 47 threes in last 13 games. He's shooting 40.2% from 3 but I bet if you look at just the last 2 months he's well over 50%. Easily the 6th man of the year right now.

The Cavs was just blowing teams out and was playing at a high level before Garland, Okoro then Rubio went out. The defense seems to have taken a step back a bit to me of late but that was a tough west coast road trip. They seem to play better on the road. The next 11 games really only have 3 teams to worry about. The Bulls, Bucks and Hornets. The rest of the teams are pretty trashy. While the Bulls really MUST win tonight as they have the Bucks next, the Cavs kinda need to win this one too. Sucks that the Cavs can't get on TV. This should be a national spotlight game. But, I like that the Cavs are still under the radar with the betting public.

Billy D is a much better coach than JB right now. The Cavs are young. They have a core set of All Stars with Allen, Garland and Mobley. They need a dog like Sexton that can create his own shot. They're getting there. They played 6 games on the road then played a game at home then had to go to Chicago on 1 day rest, while the Bulls had several days off. I should have known this was a bad spot but I thought they would play through it. The Cavs have had the toughest schedule thus far and this was just a horrible scheduled game. It almost seemed like the NBA wanted to fukk the Cavs on purpose with that schedule. No excuses. They got their ass kicked. Move on.

I should have known something was fishy. Bulls in a must win game after losing 4 straight. The Cavs playing their 8th game in a different city in 13 days. That was a recipe for disaster. I have to get better when to hammer them and when to fade, like when Rubio went down. The next dozen games should be a great time to load up. Their schedule is about to get much easier. (I hope).

Mac, I thought about your comments. MAYBE.

I normally take a hard stance on feeling good about the play going in. And then you live w/ the results.

Did the Bulls feel extra motivation in the "Lost L4 WITH revenge" angle? Maybe, but that's old-school thinking.

Big thing is that DeRozan had a huge game. And he came back w/ another big showing last nite. Props to him.

As for today, Cavs are -12 vs OKC. Very tough spot to lay that in NBA. Have to feel like Cavs would be content w/ a win (and not necessarily the cover).
