The Cavs and Bulls have only played once this season. The Cavs blew them out by 23 this past Wednesday.
Here's a good summation of what the Bulls are up against this Cavs team moving forward. Good luck with that Goatie.
The fact of the matter is the oversized Cavaliers pose quite the mismatch for this small-ball Bulls team. While a fully healthy group would have helped Chicago better space the floor, they still would have likely had a hard time establishing their normal presence in the paint. The frontcourt combo of Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley can swallow drives to the rim and force players into off-balance looks. They also helped the Cavs take care of business on the glass, combining for 21 rebounds and guiding the Cavs to a 37-26 defensive rebounding advantage. Fortunately, Chicago isn’t going to face many teams THIS big, but last night was another reminder of how undersized this group plays.Comment -

Saw a -4 last night. Should have grabbed that. Shorthanded Heat did hammer Bulls, but Bulls were super shorthanded on the road. Hard not to like the Cavs here, but who knows. Cavs or pass.

Why would they forfeit? They can always call up players. They argue should postpone, but if not there's no way they forfeit. Lines will be interesting. Coby White should return, possibly Green.
As of now, Bulls have 10 players in protocols (Alize Johnson added today) and 8 active players. Regardless, no way they ever forfeit. There are hardship exceptions and there is always someone that wants to be signed to play.

Covid is all over sports right now. The NHL Flames next 3 games are postponed because of an outbreak. I thought we were done with this shit.

Look who's moving up the NBA Power Rankings... Only behind the Bucks and Nets in the East. The Jazz, Warriors and Suns in the West. The Cavs are in great company. Yet still very undervalued.

Overall, the Cavs have played the league’s second toughest schedule to date, with 16 of their 28 games having come against the other 13 teams that currently have winning records. They’re only 5-11 in those 16 games, but three of the five wins, including a destruction of the Bulls on Wednesday, have come in this 7-2 stretch.
The Cavs have outscored the league’s second toughest schedule by 4.1 points per 100 possessions, the league’s fifth best mark and an improvement of 12.4 per 100 from last season. In the last 25 years, that improvement has only been topped by the 2007-08 Celtics (+14.3) and the 1997-98 Spurs (+13.2), two teams that added two Hall of Famers to their starting lineups. So, Lauri Markkanen is David Robinson (it seems they’ll have military service in common) and Evan Mobley is Tim Duncan, basically.
This team knows how it wants to play, it seems to have answers for however you want to defend it, and its starting lineup has been nearly as good on offense (116.2 points scored per 100 possessions) as its been on defense (96.9 allowed), even though it essentially has only one guy who can handle the ball. Darius Garland has been fantastic running the pick-and-roll, Isaac Okoro has been an improved finisher at the rim (as Karl-Anthony Towns witnessed up close), and the bigs have done a lot more than just catch lobs. (Sometimes, they throw lobs to each other.)
Four of the Cavs’ five most efficient games of the season have come in December. That includes their Dec. 1 win in Miami, in which they scored 111 points on just 93 possessions. They’ll host the Heat on Monday, and they’ll begin a big, three-game trip (through Milwaukee, Atlanta and Boston) on Saturday.

That is absolutely insane. The Cavs are just 2 games back after playing the HARDEST schedule in the NBA, had their best player go out with a season ending injury and everyone of them have missed significant games due to Covid and injury. Take away that 5 game losing streak when the club was depleted and this Cavs team would be in first place.

I think all 3 teams will be bunched up most of this season. It really is up for grabs. I think Cleveland and Milwaukee will both edge ahead of Chicago eventually. The Bulls small ball will not work against either team IMO.

I'll have to look it up by I think the Cavs have covered EVERY 1st quarter and probably 95% of first halves. It's pretty insane and no one is really paying attention.
Heat with a huge 13-0 run to open the 3rd quarter. 1 point game. The Cavs usually have great 3rd quarters. They struggle in the 4th, so this is not good.
