They said after he hit the Toyota, he pushed it 500 feet. Hopefully the impact broke the woman's neck and she died on impact and she didn't suffer burning alive.

I was just at a TG in Houston Sunday and they mark up everything. You sit at the bar, they run up your tab, you buy food, then go to your cubby, they add more drinks, food, bay fees and you're looking at 5 bills for a couple of hours. The bay fees used to be separate, so it wasn't added to the tip but now they put everything on your final bill, so you're paying a tip just to hit balls too. Sneaky foul.

That Corvette is very light compared to the Toyota SUV. Simple math F=MA would suggest the Corvette would have absorbed most of the impact, especially being so low. 500 feet is relative. Was she at a stop, then yes that pretty far but if she was going 50 mph, that is pretty reasonable. Did she die on impact? Seems unlikely. Plenty of unanswered questions that will come out in the investigation. How did the car catch on fire so quickly? There could be a manufacturing defect? Not trying to absolve Ruggs by any means. Car crashes are a very interesting way to teach physics. They deal with force yes but there is also kinetic energy and how it is disapted or absorbed along with inelastic and elastic energy also deals with vectors and even gravity. Great way to learn Newton's laws. Although in this case very tragic.Comment -
One of my first cars was a 72 Crown Vic wagon with the wood paneling. That was one ugly car that guzzled gas but it could hit a Mack truck and not move. One night I was driving in snow, with balled wheels and the car went straight into a guard rail. The guard rail was bent to shit and there wasn't a scratch on the car. That front fender was like a battering ram out of Mad Max.

Does every vehicle accident result in a fire?? If it doesn’t then it is relevant because she may have survived had the car not caught on fire. That is why so many people survive car accidents because the cars don’t catch on fire. There are thousands of vehicle accidents everyday, yet very few catch on fire.
