My best guess is PSA would charge $150 to grade that card. last i knew they were running around 3 months

PSA and Beckett are two of the most widely accepted. Below are PSA's options

          Card Authentication & Grading

Whether you are looking to have your cards authenticated and graded for the first time, or looking to submit a graded card for crossover or review, PSA offers a wide variety of service levels. Be sure to determine the declared value of your card, as this is a key factor in selecting the appropriate PSA service level.

          REGULAR
          $100/card
          $1,499 maximum declared value.

          EXPRESS
          $150/card
          $2,499 maximum declared value.

          SUPER EXPRESS
          $300/card
          $4,999 maximum declared value.

          WALK-THROUGH
          $600/card
          $9,999 maximum declared value.

I wouldn't waste any money now. Hold on to it for years then you will see some money.

i think it would be good to get it graded, just to have an idea on the quality. the gem mint grade on that card is anywhere from $15-20k

My point is unless you want to sell now there is zero value in a grade now because if you hold on to it for another 10 years that means jackshit. I mean these cards from a quick look I see 9.5 grades that can't even get a bit at 8k. The market is flooded with these cards. Another reason it makes zero sense to sell now or even consider selling it. The guy is still playing. Cards shoot up in price as the years pass after retirement because less cards are available. You don't sell in a market full of them. Why pay for a grade now?

Tell me about it. "What are they selling over there? Fuckin liquid gold?"

PSA won't be getting my $$. Feel like PSA is way over-priced. At the moment, PSA has name-recognition but that can change.

Getting cards graded is not selling them Jj. But i am selling a ton o shit , i've been collecting cards, wwe figures, high end transformers, he man, thundercats, voltron, hot wheels, 3a exclusives. ALL have been selling for a ton o money and i'm getting in on it while they are worth a lot. The wwe figs have gone up so much i already made all my money back and still have over 200 figs to sell. Todays days are like a collectors paradise. Puffpuffpass.

Yeah, best of luck with your investments.
                                          I mean that.

Remember (as I'm sure you're aware) it's a supply and demand market.
What you want to make profit wise and what the market is paying needs to be strongly considered in your decisions.

Too bad Bonds was such a dickhead, Clemens too.
If those two, and other examples as well weren't such assholes their cards would be worth 100 times more than what the market is bearing.

Get it graded by PSA is my suggestion. Their graded cards command a premium in most cases. Even if you don't want to sell it anytime soon(I wouldn't), the card will be protected in the case.

                                                      I mean that.

Remember (as I'm sure you're aware) it's a supply and demand market.
What you want to make profit wise and what the market is paying needs to be strongly considered in your decisions.
I only want what the market says it worth WHEN i decide to sell. Right now just getting graded for the experience, always wanted to go grading route but never did it. Now that i'm in a great place and better off than i was in my 20s and 30s i'm going for the adventure. I have moss rookie autographs i'm sending and peyton manning autographs and ben roethlisberger rookie autograph. Had these cards for a long time, just went through them and found a few gems.

A PSA 7 sold for 1,750.00 in November.

Ungraded 600-700. Who knows if they are PSA 5, 6,7,8 ?

Getting it graded is all about intent to sell and the market which swings up and down a lot lately.

Looks like the card is going down as of now but you can't control that.

It's not worth paying for a walk through grade based on resale in all probability.

Foil cards are really tough to find 9's and 10's.

My suggestion: Go to a reputable card shop and ask them for a best guess grade in their opinion. Once you have that, you can figure out what is best for you.

Look on EBAY for this exact card , then go to sold/complete listing and check the box. Final sales tell the story, not what people are asking.

                                                                  Good Luck !
