He resigned because he knew Jones would fire him if he didn't. Jones and Johnson couldn't work together and Jones couldn't stand that Johnson got most of the credit for building the super bowl teams.

So, they both came to an agreement that they both were good with. That is not being fired. We all know Jones is a dick. he knows he's a dick. He also admitted that what he did was wrong.

Miami fired Flores. He was totally blindsided just like most of us. There was no mutual agreement. These 2 situations are not comparable.

He has a lot of black pride in him, he's proud of his heritage.
That in itself is a good thing.

But...
From where I sit, it seems to me he his passion clouds his judgement and at times his opinions are a little 'over the top'

He's got a good heart, he's not mean spirited.

Bottom line he was a coach in the NFL and he was black. Got fired it happens. He was a decent coach too IMO. He may have found himself in another NFL coaching job roll again if he didn't go FULL KAPPERNICK and run his mouth and try to sue the NFL and start many hear say allegations.

Zimmer was a winner, that's not why he was fired. No one would have won in Minnesota this year, the team was decimated by injuries, Griffin and Hunter both got hurt, Thielen missed almost half the year, Cook missed several games as well.

Zimmer wasn't fired for not winning, he was fired because he wasn't willing to adopt to the modern NFL and play more tempo and spread, he wanted to run the ball and build the offense around Cook, which is why he didn't get along with Stefanski.

Again, teams was young coaches and they want offensive minded head coaches. Very few defensive coaches have gotten head coaches this year.

Seems to me that BB, the Giants, Broncos and Dolphins are the ones that should be apologizing.

I'm sure he gave a lot of thought about his future and still decided to uncover the dead bodies/skeletons. He's not looking for a quick buck.
