Nets fleeced the Sixers! Philly fans will really enjoy the Harden disappearing act come April in the playoffs, then he'll be a malcontent as usual and force his way out. I say mid-season 2022-23 he's gone...

Losing Drummond hurts Philly. Having a solid backup big man is nice come playoff time. If Embiid and Harden can stay healthy I like it for Philly. I also kind of like it for the Nets though. Simmons and Durant could be really nice together. Good to see Simmons get back on the court. That was one of the more strange things I've seen in 35+ years following the NBA.

Huh? They gave up 3 role players and 2 picks in the twenty range and one is in 2027.

The sixers odds of a title got much better after the deal.

Wait till Baby Ben starts crying like a bitch there and Curry tries to guard somebody.

Great trade. Harden will never win a title.

Why? This trade seems to really screw the rest of teams because both teams got better. The Net's now have a much bigger presence with Simmons and Drummond to bang with the Bucks. They were missing interior toughness and just got it in spades. They'll continue to have offense but needed defense. Huge win for them.

The 76ers got nothing from Simmons, was not going to get anything from Simmons and they pick up Harden to help them immediately. That's a huge win for them too. It may not look so good 1, 2, 3 years from now, especially if they don't win now but no doubt they got better.

This trade hurts my Cavs, really hurts an undersized Bulls team and especially hurts the Bucks as well.

I agree with this. My top 5 in East

                1) Milw
                2) sixers
                3) heat
                4) nets
                5) cavs

Not having to give up thybulle or Maxey was huge. They basically gave up curry and drumm. Those picks are nothing and Ben was never playing in Philly again. You gotta take a shot with Embiid playing at this level.

Drummond pulled down 23 boards, that's what?

I defy you to find a team, any team that can pull down 23 boards as a back up?
A couple of teams have a backup center that have 20 rebound *potential* not like Drummond though.
And they gave up Curry too.
Seth is a top five shooting guard in the league percentage wise.

They don't think things through out there in Philly.
They gave up shooting and rebounding for an over the hill fat piece of shit who thinks lard is a food group.

Philadelphia is better with Harden by a lot. They weren't going to win the title before the trade, and they might not win the title now, but they have a chance.

They shouldn't have had to give up Curry, but he is replaceable, he's a shooter and a role player.

Good trade for both. NJ don't mind a PG that can't shoot as long as he can distribute and Philly could use an elite 3 point shooter to give some space for Embiid

I agree it's good for both. When one of the key players wasn't playing for one of the teams that's bound to happen I suppose. It's a gamble by Philly for sure. Can Harden and Embiid both stay healthy? If so I like their chances. If nothing else it's a win for the fans from an entertainment standpoint.

Great trade for the Nets as they got young studs to go along with KD now. Good for the future.

Philly got screwed. Got a fat washed up James Harden that can't guard anyone and Philly also lost a great shooter in Curry.

Nets win the title now if KD can get healthy.

Harden wasn't motivated in Brooklyn, he will be with Philadelphia. He's only 33 and he hasn't had any major injuries, he will need to get into shape and get healthy, but he'll be fine.

Big if? Hard to teach an old dog new tricks. He likes his fatty and greasy foods. Can run all day long on the basketball court but if your diet is garbage, even at 33 you can and will get fat and stay fat.

If Philly doesn't go to the finals would this trade be considered a bust? Do the nets get a pass if they don't win a chip this yr bc of the trade now?

I think both teams will get better as others have stated with regards to the personnel or stars already in place for both teams. Philly will slow down the pace which bodes will for embiid and the nets will run like crazy with a true distributor in the open court.
