NATURALLY, I was on Syracuse Huge.

And I reinvested at halftime for +3.5 (even) even though money was coming in on NC.

Cavs too +3.5. Most teams shoot that three at the end and if goes in it’s OT, and if it goes out, it’s lose by 3 (especially in the nba), but not Cavs…

They shot with 5 seconds left to make sure there’s time for free throws..

Started playing at Syracuse in 1963 and has been there every year in some capacity aside from a couple minor league years. Head coach since 1976. Bob knight started at Indiana like 5 years before that and hasn’t coached there in over 20 years. K started at duke i think 1980 and is going to be gone in a month.

His teams do well in the tournament because of the zone which teams have trouble against because they don’t see it so often. Look at their regular season records though. 8 straight seasons they have lost at least 10 games. Since they went to the ACC, the team has went downhill. Lots of sneaking in the tournament followed by overachieving when in it. It’s been a long time since he had a legit title contender.

Just looked it up. They were number 1 in the nation their first season in the ACC. They played pitt and hit almost a half court shot to beat them in a game I was at. They fell apart at the end of the season and ended up losing against Dayton in the second round. That was his last really good team.

Yeah he brought up horses in the book. Definitely is a degenerate. There was a game at duke where he got thrown out at the end. Throwing his jacket making a scene on the court. Duke ended up covering because of the extra free throws. He says in the book if I cost you money that game, I apologize lol.

Years back I saw him Al skinner and another coach going into Greektown in detroit the day before the final 4. Some old timer but his name escapes me. That’s one cool thing about the final 4. A lot of coaches show up for it almost like a pseudo vacation. You get to see them in their element.

About ten years ago I saw Jaworski at the Borgata in AC playing blackjack.
His ranges were two to ten purple chips a hand.

I was standing right behind him in watching in awe.
He's a degen, but he was playing well, he knew what he was doing.
If I had to guess, he at least broke even.
I was watching maybe 15 minutes than I got a subtle tap on the shoulder with a "move along"

They also killed his ability to recruit. took away a dozen scholarships, chopped his off campus recruiters in half
all things that his program is now seeing the results of.
no coach could do any better with what the Ncaa did to the Syracuse hoops program

Boeheim has been dirty for some time, and douche'd a lot of guys, assistants, was pretty much a maggot. Never liked him. I think Calhoun was similar, didn't they all get busted? Valvano was as dirty as they come, but since he died of cancer, nobody talks about how shady he was either.
