#107Fuk, no wonder it's all pulled everywhere.
I want my bet back.
Will be making some calls.
I am not pleased here.Comment -
#108No professional gambler is it going anywhere near thisComment -
#109Pay attention Gold, you might learn something. Using this sport as an example, not unlike the CFL days.
And you are wrong, there are plenty of market analysts that gamble for a living, or a side business.
I'm fukkin pissed though, that should have been settled tonight.
Now it's a push at best.
Not pleased.Comment -
#110Not gonna lie, that needed to settle tonight.
We will re-evaluate tomorrow.
They fukkin owe us.Comment -
#111Liking the USFL so far. It's a scrub league make no mistake about it. It's no NFL but still entertaining though.Comment -

#114Was really excited about the Usfl because i was a monster in the XFL Was 7-1 before the Shut down.Right Now 2-2.With 2 plays remaining Tampa and under.Too bad there was not a weather cancellation prop i would have had the cancel.Comment -
#115No offense to Birmingham but is there really no better place to play these games?
Saw one game with 0 fans in stands looked worse than covid games not very appealing.
Why do big corporations and media giants/ entrepreneurs etc. invest money on these type of obviously soon to go bankrupt leagues? Don't they understand from history that nothing will last except NFL and no one's gonna watch this crap after a few weeks?
I'm guessing major tax write-offs
or losses to offset profits/earnings I don't know.Comment -

Wikipiedia called it a "bubble" so it remains to be seen whether that meant a COVID bubble or just some shit talking.
I guess we have to wait until they play next year to find out if they will branch out.Comment -
#117Pitt +6 it is tonight. Why not?Comment -
-
#119We're probably going to push though.
Don't take +5.5, people.

Tens (literally ten) of fans that come to the area for the games.
On a more serious note, the other plus is that it is in a RED state. If covid issues come up, games will not be cancelled. This is a must for FOX since they are paying for the games to fill weekend TV time.Comment -
#121I have to believe part of it was the price. UAB plays at this stadium for $25k/gm. I'm betting the USFL is paying less than that. Hell they may even have incentivized the USFL with discounted lodging or something in hopes of reaping returns on the tourist influx.

Funny that they already had to move a game already anyways thoughComment -

#127Tampa Bay Bandits -6
Watched that USFL reality clips that was shown prior to the first game and that Pittsburg Maulers coach is corny. He let go a player because he was "disrespectful" and refused to listen to his side... this is 2022 not 1982. He's going to lose control of his team. Don't know much about both teams but Bandits QB is from Ole Miss and might feel right at home. He also played well in XFL so taking the Bandits in a rout for a boring game just like how MNF games are now.

#128Seats are $10 and kids get in free. And the stadium is still empty for non Birm teamsComment -
#129The way its going to be for year one. Only Birm gets the home games, saving a ton of money playing at 2 sites. They want to get the league off the ground in year one and have the teams in their respective cities in year two and beyond. A smart approach considering how important TV is to survival. It's a novel strategy - Let's see if they can pull it off...Comment -
#130We are under way Mnf Tampa Touchdown! My Wife looked at the Tv and said i did not know Alabama had covid restrictions.I said they Dont there is just no one was there.Maybe what 20 people at most.I dont think this one stadium city is not going to work! How many times do you ask people in the same city to support something thats not theres.IF It was in Tampa what would the attendance be maybe 100.It reminds me of going to any Horse Track these days they showed Golden Gate on Sunday i saw maybe 1 person outside!Last edited by mcaulay777; 04-18-22, 06:19 PM.Comment -
