Damn. I was really hoping to post some naked pictures of myself in player's talk, but now I can't... thanks a lot, SBR.

Seriously, though. Other than the betislands fiasco, the worst part about the forum was the racist, anti semitic, and threatening posts. Years ago a poster who is no longer here mused about murdering me because I posted my rationale for betting on Harry Reid to win his senate race. I knew there was 0% chance SBR would do anything about it. I was able to brush it off as SBR was/is useful to my career as a professional gambler, but for those less dedicated to +EV gambling it was easy to see how posts about holocaust denial, racial superiority and threatening people would drive a lot of traffic away from the site.

The changeover has obviously been less than ideal, but this particular change is welcome.

So what about poker?

The current poker software is not coming back as it is too, errr, unreliable.

I have not been told what it will be replaced with or when that might happen. Or have confirmation it definitely will come back even. Just that all old software that is not 100% known and reliable is going, and that includes the poker app.

Do you think this all will be finalized by the football season in September?

I believe so, but the only "official" word on timing mods have so far is "summer".

I was drawn into False Starts thread i have to admit just wondering if it would work. But yea if he makes so much why would he need to bug people for $1000 .

So i was extended as a pro which is nice. I held off on a renew because i felt it made no sense with nothing to spend the points on. I actually have built up a decent amount of points since the Casino does not work. Maybe that is good since all i did was piss away my points every day there.

But isn't the new owners like a US book or something like that i thought i read that somewhere. If they are US Casinos we probably will not see points for gift cards or pizza i think. More like maybe gift cards or hotel stays to whatever casinos took over. If its like Draftkings i guess they can work with a casino in Atlantic City and Vegas and do rooms or gift cards to those casinos . I would be good with that since i am an hour from AC and from time to time stay at a room just to have a view of the Ocean and relax.

ClubGG club can be set up in an hour to their liking. Or get a skin on Poker Mavens software. Price wouldn't be that expensive and they have their own developer to fix stuff. Either option is better than current software.

Probably, but I will ask about that and if it is possible to extract a list and do something.

Sure miss what SBR offered in the past. trivia contest, Beat the prick, poker, sportsbetting and the SBR Store. Can do without JJGold spam though. He brings the place down so far I have almost left SBR. Only reason I did not leave was SBR no longer required posts to stay a member so I no longer had to see JJGold's 400,000 crap posts.

Yes, the odds service is supposedly going to be a big deal and will have just about every book from each licensed jurisdiction.

A big part of the work going on for the site re-launch involves perfecting geo-targeting to meet different state legal requirements.

I really have no details but don't think it will work that way. Not in regulated states anyway. Pretty sure you will see all the books with a license there. I don't know what will happen with non-regulated ones as yet.

I am sure the devs know that people are going to want a way to select out of state books for the odds comparison though.

Honestly I didn't even know until recently that most of our major features of this site were hand stitched together and barely holding on with a wing and a prayer. That's why I always send out much praise to those who pieced things together but we can't do it now.

The only thing I know is that the people working here have been working many more hours - with not one complaint - and are doing everything they can to make things as smooth as possible for you guys when it's sometime's obviously not. They'll have my support and despite some loon over at Busted Members Retreat stating I'm going to get the sack soon, I suspect I'll be ok. And while I'm here the likes of Opti, Spider and LT will be should they choose to be. Always.
