Joel Embiid (facial fracture/right thumb sprain) has officially been upgraded to available for Game 3 against the Heat on Friday, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Masked Embiid is here, ladies and gentlemen. He was trending in the right direction as he was upgraded to doubtful earlier, and now he’s going to give it a shot to try and help his team dodge a potential 0-3 series deficit. Doc Rivers initially said that Embiid won’t have any sort of minutes restriction tonight, but that is not the case anymore as Rivers most recently said his minutes could potentially be limited -- keep in mind that on top of the facial fracture, he’s also dealing with a torn ligament in his right thumb that will require offseason surgery. There’s no denying Philly’s star big man is banged up, but a banged up Joel Embiid can still be more productive than plenty of centers in the NBA. We’ll be sure to let you know how he fares after the game, and hopefully Doc Rivers isn’t too upset since he has to send Deandre Jordan back to the bench. DJ and Paul Reed lose basically all of their value with Embiid back, not that there was much to be had anyway.

Now I'm confused too, last night at 10pm the Sixer's front office told the Senior Sixer writer to tweet out a post that "it confirmed Embid is ruled out for Friday night's game", and if you scroll up, I posted that very exact tweet.
So, one of two things had to happen:
a) Embid talked the Sixer's bosses and Doc Rivers into playing, which is believable Doc Rivers has no backbone, he's spineless and he has a penchant for appeasing Embid.
b) Embid was going to play all along and the Sixers powers that be were just purposely sending up false smoke signals towards Miami. Which wouldn't surprise me if that was the case.
The NBA league rules state that lineups have to be posted within 30 minutes of opening tap, (I can post that link, but you can look that up too) and sure as shit, as 6:00pm Embid's status was GTD (TBD) and exactly 6:30 Embid was listed as a starter.Comment -

I don't know what to believe anymore, but if they award the MVP tonight it'll be the earliest the award has been presented in MVP award history, that award has never been awarded before Memorial Day, no less the first week in May is what I'm saying.

I got money on the Heat and that was a foul. It was stupid but it was a foul. Now the foul call Embiid got a few plays earlier where no one touched him was lame but that last play was clearly a foul. Miami has really played lazy and unenthused. 34 points in a half. Wake the fukk up.Comment -

That was a great MVP presentation the NBA put on, and I was very impressed with the way Embid handled himself with dignity, very humble gentleman.
I especially liked the way Embid thanked his mom, very respectful on his part.

The reason why I'm on the Heat is because of Doc. Guy is a well known choker. Him and Harden actually. I got a lot of money hanging on the Heat +5.5 live. A lot will depend on the refs and how many free throws they want to gift Harden and Embiid in this 4th quarter.
