Colorado obviously is a high flying outfit with great players and talent all over the rink. None of that matters though because the opponent is savvy and versatile. TB will clog up the lanes and things will get increasingly difficult for the AVS. Colorado has played one similiar opponent (Blues) and they gave the AVS problems but binnington got hurt and they don't have the weapons that TB has.
TB clearly has the better goalie ( that MIGHT be overplayed but it's important).
Colorado is similiar to the leafs so the lightning have the blueprint to get this done. Colorado relies on getting to the net and getting clean looks. TB will take that away and hold them to the outside. Vasilevski will get the rest done.
I'm seeing this series as a very similar situation to the isles vs Edmonton in 1983. The Oilers were the upstart high flying team like Colorado but the veteran isles had all the intangibles and experience to sweep the Oilers and teach them a lesson they used to run the show for years. Colorado is stacked. They have it all pretty much and have finally made it to the final. The problem is that the team that no one can beat is in the way.
The reason I took the stab with the sweep is that I could see this snowball quickly and many are expecting a great series. That usually never works out but I do hope it is great.
The 3 peat is going to happen. Get ready.
