Here is the issue. Sometimes things get heated on the forum and clothes can come flying off. Sexual innuendos can start flying such as all in's, jackhammering plays, polish middles etc and this makes things difficult to moderate. I hope politics doesn't transcend the forum and we start calling each other pronouns and the like. People have a passion and the forum needs to be rational about handing out yellow and red cards or else this place will morph into a prison. Plays will start being discussed using dugout signals while in the lunch line and everyone will be paranoid of the watchtower's all seeing eye. Some may already be making shanks as we speak to carve out a tunnel in case things go bad.

Having said that, I have faith that the forum is going to be even better than before. Adjustment period is frustrating but I hope the regulars stick with it and enjoy what SBR has in store.

Just a heads up that a few updates have been made to the forum guidelines and can be found on the FAQ page.

The main takeaways are the retirement of the Service Plays forum and a firmer stance against offensive/inappropriate posts. These will not be tolerated going forward and infractions/bans will be issued if necessary to enforce the guidelines.

Let's all do our part to make this a betting community we are proud to be a part of.

There really shouldn't be an issue because I've been harping on the same policies for how many years now? I've repeatedly explained that you never know who is reading or using Google Translate to understand what's going on as English isn't their first language and the feedback we were getting was atrocious at times.

You're not going to be banned for saying shit or asshole or the words we've allowed for the past 10 years or so. But if you keep trying to dodge the auto-sensor you will. And some of you do repeatedly and that leniency is now gone. The same goes for ruining threads or repeatedly posting about random BS all over the forum.

Just think of this place as doing grocery shopping. If you need/like fruit and veg go to that aisle. If you don't have a dog, avoid the pet food one. If you're lactose intolerant avoid those fridges altogether... don't go over there and open every lid and spill milk all over the floor ruining it for other shoppers.

Things are getting sorted out behind the scenes. MUCH more slowly than any of us had anticipated or hoped for. Trust me, it's not a bed of roses to have to keep reassuring you guys that things are happening when we're approaching a year soon. But it will happen and when it does this will just be another wacky year like COVID gave most of us (or in some cases two) and we'll forget about it soon enough, just as we did when all the problems happened when Betpoints and Poker were introduced and pizza was taken away lol

Yeah I agree totally. It's hard for me as we never had pizza over here although I tried way back in the days of that guy Encoder or Inforcer or whatever his name was... Crazy Pete' best mate. But I kept being told pizza was the easiest. Maybe @ Andy in that suggestion which I do agree with. Even an online gift voucher or whatever you've got going on over there. A code or something. Even though things seem to be progressing as slow as f, the new owners and management are seriously really open to innovation and new ideas. Whatever is going to make this place sing.

So please keep the suggestions coming and involve Andy as he'll be able to escalate it upstairs

It's all good darling. Frustrating a bit at times but I remind myself that I also don't always follow the repeatedly stated rules at work or whatever.

Thank you for the reply Shari. The message is received and understood. Good business model that wants to be professional and limit issues arising from misunderstandings. I think some posters can be so amazing that even google translate cannot contain them. They bring something that is hard to quantify but can be certainly troublesome to deal with. I know me personally, I enjoy various aisles in the grocery store to help me understand the business as a whole even if I am lactose intolerant. I certainly wouldn't ban milk but rather try to appreciate why others enjoy it. I do however realize that some are dinosaurs now and a new era is upon us. Great job here btw Shari. I hope the forum continues into greatness
