Its depressing to look at. I remember back in the day, as much action as you wanted. I was a high-low split player, could get 4 tables at like 2/4 or so at absolute, dozens at pokerstars, many at full tilt.

I look now at pokerstars NJ, nothing at all. Maybe 1 or 2 tables of 2/5 no limit holdem or something. Looked at party poker a few years ago, nothing as well.

Miss the old days as far as that goes. Don't think we'll ever see it again.

Anybody remember SBR Poker? Gone are the days. Poker tourneys, Classic Odds page, the points store, epic contests.

How many fuk’in nails you need in the coffin, before they bury this sucker in the ground.

                  We were very unique
                  Had an edge on everyone

Currently we have no edge anymore

Biggest crooks were Ultimate Bet. I remember Phil Helmuth endorsing the site along with a few other pros. I was one of the suckers that played there, and more stupidly kept my tournament winnings there and never got paid when they flamed out. Nobody was held accountable or prosecuted for it.

I knew a group of college kids that would all sit at the same table (this was at Poker Stars) and take the money of the one or two that had no clue what was going on. Those kids make thousands. They would sit in the same room with laptops and look at each others hands and figure the course of action against the one or two. Pretty sick.

Never trust online poker. They did this same thing in tournaments, too.

Play live only is the moral of this story.

I would think technology would’ve caught up by now to prevent the scenario you mention. They’d all have the same public IP address and get banned immediately.

Those kids were a lot smarter than that. They all had different Ip's. Couldn't be detected and still won't today.

In NJ, you are looking at the wrong sites. All the action is on WSOP not Stars or Party.

I wish mixed games, or Fixed/Limit games would return in popularity. I love playing 5/10 or 10/20 Stud8 or Razz. Two of my favorite games to play. I played LHE for years but that's too tough to beat without any rakeback deal.

Man, I don't know how you played it for years. I tried to dabble in limit hold' em for a bit and it was the most boring experience ever for me. And, as you allude to, even vs. fish the edges are small. I just think it sucks as a game, lol. Stud8 and Razz can be fun though

I’m actually sort of curious about the difference between when poker blew up compared to now? Was it “easier” to make money back then online compared to now? I just don’t get the difference. If I go to Atlantic City right now I’m sure the tables are full? Is it just that a ton of people stopped playing so there are no rookies to beat?

Tons of fish, nothing really out of the ordinary as far as bad beats go.
I pretty much trust them, but I play mid stakes, nothing big,

I like the 6.60 MTT NLH tournaments, and the 2.20 Omaha MTT's

Love Omaha, but the draws and redraws can drive you bat shit crazy at times.
Pot Limit Omaha is all about getting your chips in there when you have drawing power preflop, if you brick the flop. life goes on, don't chase the turn, just muck.

I’ll give ACR a shot. Any opinion on the sportsbook poker rooms? BetNow? BetOnline, etc.?

BetNow is a club on Pokerrr app which sucks ass. BetOnline is okay. It used to be a lot better.

                                                      Yeah, agreed.
BoL gives you a pretty good game, Pokerrr blows, and there's no action either.

I'm averaging about $16/game profit on Bovada SNGs and they're over in an hour or so. 1 table $25+2.50 triple ups or 2 table (18) $25 +2.50 $10 Knockout. Fun to unwind a little while I watch TV late at night

Players are pretty bad at night, but I'm also running good too. Should've bubbled out last game A2 vs 88 but rivered an Ace

                                                          4-1 Triple Ups

Over any meaningful sample you'd be lucky to average anything greater than 6-10% ROI in that format. That'd mean you're one of the best in the field, too.
