Just because a pro says you need real time odds to operate doesn't mean getting something real time turns you into a pro.
After several pages have gone by, I default to my initial posts in this thread.

I doubt anyone in this thread will see it coming...lol.
Remember, it's not the info, it's how you use it.
So many in a hurry to pay for something that, if not used correctly, will cost a lot more than the subscription they paid.

I'm just saying that if you don't already know what to do with information like this then getting and having this information is not going to help you.
In fact, we will burn you for the ignorance. You will be even easier to manipulate with this info than you were without, and that was already easy.
Everyone always looking for a shortcut to creating some kind of handicapping or ratings, whether it's for a game or sport, or even just handicapping the market. It's true even for those trying to let the market do the capping for them.
These market participants usually get burned, they turn subjective and can't control their emotions.
It becomes the case where bettors get just enough knowledge to get into trouble, but won't take the extra step to long term winning...
The higher the price, the more talented the average subscriber.
The more talented the average subscriber the less the sportsbooks will either send info or send up to date info,
for example Bovada has right now Lynx +1 on Don Best, they certainly do not have that pointspread on their website.
Someone come up free or close to it, every sportsbook will be on it.
Discussions are still in progress about how to make SBR Odds the best service available.
That would be great... but even the older version which most thought was decent... the money flow on what people were taking... very inaccurate. Wasn't even close to other sources out there. Better off throwing a dart at a USA map... and pick your team.
Don't mistake tools for those who know how to use them, and can make it worth their cost, for some kind of status thing.
Be more realistic, and less condescending.
Or maybe try not to hate the player, just go ahead and hate the game.
I appreciate you Tex, and I'm not trying to call you out or be negative, but you appear to be on an edge of a "complex" with those posts I quoted.
He pretty much said in so many words on his twitter space (where jj got his info from as well) that he wanted it to be a status thing. The two posts you quoted of mine have nothing to do with one another
For the record, I do not plan on even looking into this product, I believe I have access to everything I need. From what is described in this thread, I already have real time down to seconds and have created my own alerts...something I've talked about in the past.
Make no mistake, I do pay for what I have, a price that has gone up since onshore legalization and since Pinny changed their API business and Pinnysolutions.
For live trading Deck Prism is the way to go.
I do not who "spanky" is and doubt he can provide anything I don't already get, through relationships with books.
That doesn't take away from the value of his project, it's just not a new thing.
A line service is useless without usa and offshore and payperhead books
The latter two where all the sharp money is bet
Of course he says that.
Same as some people here insist a line service with any delay is "useless".
Some people cannot perceive things from anything but their own viewpoint. Tech nerds are very often terrible at empathic thinking.
If you are not trying to beat books using a technical exploit like chasing steam, real time is not important to you.
If you are living in a legal state and are not so desperate for a way to earn income you want to turn the fun of gambling into a job, then a line comparison service without offshore is also not "useless".

Give the vast majority "real time" over delay and they will have no idea what to do with it.
This is why information packaged like this can become widespread, it doesn't really reduce an edge it can create for knowledgeable users. Although, once the US market is saturated, this could change...a concept I'm still sort of working out in my head.
