Its a disease. Weve all been there, and all gotten into various levels of trouble over the years, but eventually youve gotta grow up and learn from your mistakes. Guys, if you only have 5k, you cant bet 1K a game. 2-5% bankroll max, and youll stick around for a very long time

saved me. i can let $1K last a long time with this and hopefully win to increase my bet size, etc.

Yes. It took me a long time to realize it myself, way too long. You cant bet 25% or 50% of your bankroll, or youll be chasing losses your whole life. Slow down, and think logically, and things will start to turn, believe me.

It’s a serious sickness. They don’t really realize how much they are losing. They make $16 an hour but are betting $1,500 a game. Letting their whole bankroll be in play on a day to day basis. It’s unreal

It's about the rush. I've done plenty of things I'd never advise others to do but no matter how good one is at beating the books, crushing the poker tables, having a massive amount of money riding on a game or on a hand of poker or blackjack is a rush unlike any other.

Once you win a $50,000 hand of Blackjack or cash a $50,000 ticket on sports, it's tough to grind out small profits. It's why some of the best don't last once they get to the top.
