They were willing to forgive him his prior misdeeds (anti-vax, roster critiques/ demands, demanding nash & marks be replaced in the summer, demanding a trade in the summer, even the Ramadan thing in the playoffs which clearly affected his performance in crunch time) but they've realised it's not happening and so now is the time to drive the boot in. Pretty sure that's all Irving. Interim coaches typically don't change much unless the players are calling for it. Sumner & Johnson have a lot more to offer defensively at the point of attack.
