Has the game passes Belichick by.
The Patriots and Belichick were severely outcoached last night, McDermott made Captain Cheeseburger his personal meat pupped last night.

It's as if McDermott knew the Pats game plan was going to be ball control and McDermott beat him at his own game.

Pats have a pop gun offense with a good defense that can't beat good offenses though.

Since the beginning of time the formula to winning in the NFL was a solid defense and a good ground game.
That page flipped about eight years ago, today you can't win without a good offense and Belichick seems to be still stuck in 2010.

Time for Bill to take his HOF career into retirement, clearly he's slow to adjust to today's NFL game.

    They are 6-6.

No other coach would have more then 4 wins with that roster. Bill wins on the margins.

With all due respect LB, he beat a real shitty Pitt team, and wins over the Browns, Colts. Lions, and Jets impresses nobody.
And a real embarrassing loss to the Bears to boot.

Any hamburger coach would have at least five wins against that opposition.

We can go back and forth with this.

                Colts beat the chiefs.
Browns are decent they have no QB.
Lions have been been very competitive.
                Jets are 7-4?
Pitt almost won in mia didn't they?

It’s a tough call here, but I wouldn’t throw “Bella Chick” to the wayside just yet.

he got caught having to play from behind, and may not have adapted at least for this game.

Mac didn’t like the timid gameplan and maybe we can put this on the coach, but I probably wouldn’t make too much of a generalization just yet.

Here’s Mac in the final minutes….

Yes, we can do that all day.

Bill is an all time great defensive great, maybe the greatest defensive mind ever.
There's a reason why Parcells hired Belichick in 1985, because Parcel's plate was full running the Giants both in front office capacity and head coaching, just to manage the defense..

And let's not forget it was Parcell's who resurrected Belichick's career in 1996.

Belichick was toxic after the 1995 season when he got shit canned in Cleveland and got run out of town, and yes, he got run out of Cleveland.

Nobody wanted any part of Belichick then.

Them Belichick repays Parcell's by shitting all over him.
Belichick is an all time great head coach, no denying, but know this, and know this well, he's a giant asshole too.
But than again you don't get to the top by being Mr. Nice Guy either.

the two Jets wins are with facing Wilson at QB also. if it was a competent QB, especially in the 2nd win, i don't think the Pats win that game.

Without doing anything? Don Shula coached for 33 seasons and had a losing record twice. Twice. 2 times in 33 seasons. He won over 2/3 of the games. 3 titles (1 pre-super bowl).

He was 19-17 in the playoffs in his career.

He won 9 playoff games in the last 17 years of his career. He didn't even make the playoffs 9 times out of those 17 years.

He won 2 afc championships in the last 20 years of his career . TWO

That's along time without doing much. Belichick has missed the playoffs what 2-3 times in the last 22 years?

Shula was longevity. He was overrated and he got his dick sucked because of the perfect team.

                                Belichick way BETTER then him.

The main reason Marino never won a ring is because only once in 17 seasons he had a 1000 yard running back in the era of running backs.
That's why Marino had to put the ball up over 8300 times.

                                  *Today's trivia question*
Name that 1000 yard running back, without using Google please.

Would you rank Belichick ahead of Parecells, equal to, or below Parecells?

And do you consider Lombardi the GOAT?
Honestly, it's kind of hard to compare coaches (or players) from totally different eras. Apples to oranges. Bellichek > Parcells

                                                Cool, IMO Parcells = Belichick.

                                                    Bill isn't really offensively minded.
To be fair he's better than adequate when it comes to offense, but not great.
He's always won with defense, that's what makes him one of the GOAT's.

Parcells hired him for two reasons, Parcells knew defense well, but his forte (believe it or not) was offense.
Parcells knew he needed help as he had too much going on, he knew Belichick's genius was defense, and hired him, even though there was a strong dislike between the two of them.

Behind the scenes I bet Brady will tell you he disliked Bill, and I will bet you owner Bob Kraft will tell you the same.
But the bottom line is the bottom line and the bottom line is wins, and Belichick wins.

And what do they say about cheating, if you're not cheating you aren't trying?
                                                    Or something to that effect.

                                                      1. I like the fire out of Mac Jones. But honestly... the issue is him. He still has a lot to learn. He should understand that.

                                                      2. Bill Belichick makes 18 million a year... so he must know what he's doing.

                                                      3. New England is easy to read. They must all be energized and play as a WHOLE... they really don't have a superstar. If a couple guys aren't giving it their all... the entire plan collapses. They lose.

                                                      4. I don't look at salary caps much... but it seems like New England never SPENDS MUCH... since Brady is gone... they need more superstar Free Agents. Bill to me doesn't like to deal with the DRAMA from these elite stars. He'd rather take an average player who isn't cocky... and mold them into the Patriots system. Problem is... average players do have bad days.

                                                      5. Buffalo is a tough team to defend. They are very dangerous even without Von Miller. Now, if Allen gets banged up.... that's when you throw in the towel. Goodnight.

Brady covered up a lot with his mastering of the dink and dunk offense and decent running game with interchangeable backs.
Bill doesn't believe in spending a lot of money on skill players on offense. cheap rb's, wr's etc. you see what tom has done with mike evans over the years. Last night was bad because the bills an mcdermott have his number. Bill admittedly hates game planning for mobile qb's.
what was shocking last night is how often he left diggs 1 on 1 with a rookie corner. His philosophy has always been double the other teams 1 receiver and put his number one corner on their 2 receiver. its how he beat the rams and chiefs in playoffs and sb.

His defensive mind is still superb, but without having a difference maker on offense, you can't win if you can't score points. Mac is not that guy with the pieces around. joe burrow is the luckiest qb in the league to have the wr talent he has, and mixon. when you have a lot of talent around you, the game is much easier. just look at the rams this year. Bills were smart to get diggs, and von miller, and now going after obj. this is still a talent first league. Brady was just Neo in the matrix and did more with less.
