    Cooper Rush anybody?

Brock Purdy is what he is, a nice surprise, a temporary stop gap measure and is not and never will be the long term QB answer for the 49'ers.
Walker did nothing for 4 straight games to start the year. Like 0. Might as well count those as DNP. Also didn't play last week, and the week before, he did nothing. Which means 6 games of ZERO production. Damien Pierce has been awful all year.

Wilson is starting to heat up.

Pierce and Walker have not been good this year, so if Purdy plays all these next games and does well, I don't see this being out of the question.

But his future's bet is for this year, not next year.
Next year Purdy doesn't meet the qualifications to win rookie of the year.

If there were such a thing as a Sophomore of the Year Award Purdy would be a front runner.
But since there is no such award, he can't win.

As far as Walker goes, he was the second back behind Penny for the SeaHawks, got six touches a game until week five, and has been crushing ever since.

Walker will eclipse 1000 yards in 12 games played, and will hands down win ROY this year.
Purdy no way, no how will with ROY this year, no matter how well he plays in his last four games.
And I am not shitting on the kind, I actually like an underdog story and wish him well.
And the same applies to the 49er's I don't dislike them either.

Thanks for stopping by though Goater, and Happy Holidays

That may be a good bet, thing is Walker is getting a ton of positive press, and these awards are political.

He threw for 187 yards lol. cmc and the crew were the amazing pieces that carried him. Ayuk still underrated somehow. when guys put on that SF jersey they bring some physicality. Lynch and the crew are great at identifying talent and their type of guys. and Shanahan, much like his dad understands balance and ball control offense. He may be the best offensive coach in the league. Andy Reid is there as well. But what he did with the falcons, matt ryan and devonta freeman was amazing. He made Matt Ryan very rich. and the moment Shanahan left they knew Ryan was fool's gold. Haven't seen Freeman much after that either. and now Julio Jones is a 3 receiver.

Obviously some serious sarcasm. NOBODY is voted player of the year ( offensive , defensive or water boy ) with only 2 games under his belt and 4 to go. Very stupid thread imo

He had 185 yards at halftime only threw 3 passes in 3rd quarter because they were up 35-0.didnt play the 4th.if he out plays Walker on Thursday things are going to get interesting. quarterbacks get the most shine in the press, that's gonna help when the AP votes on it

They have the same chance of beating the 49ers as a hotdog surviving 30 seconds sitting in front of Landers, zero chance.

Landers does love eating those greasy two day old hotdogs spinning on the casino floor electric grills and at the 7/11 stores.

What's really interesting.... both times Seattle brought a corner blitz..... Purdy didn't complete one pass. Not saying you can do this every down... but damn... prove this kid can beat you either checking at the line.... or going somewhere else with the ball. It's a mystery that all of a sudden no one can really get heat on him??? Bring an extra man... and see if he knows where to go with the ball.

I mean... you need to do something... he's beating you with simple coverage.

If I'm the defensive coordinator... I'm sending a corner blitz.... until he proves he can either check out of the look... or beat me over the top.

Tampa Bay had missing assignments... Seattle had missing assignments in the secondary. Wait until Purdy has an absolute atrocious game. It will happen. So far SF has faced 2 struggling teams.

Purdy seems to have good field vision, and can make accurate passes under pressure. But he seems to struggle with throwing the deep ball. Once defenses realize this, they will play closer to the first 10 yards, and he won't be as good.
