Plant growth is out of control now. I see areas that were once dead and dirt are now grassy and green.

Mountains that were once dry and dead looking are now green and flourishing. Amazing what a little rain water will do to Southern California!

Weather patterns go something like this in CA and have since time immemorial

drought
fire
rain
mudslide
rain produces lots of brush
drought
fire
rain
mudslide

mix in an earthquake here or there

usually it's about 76 and sunny though

I wouldn't mind being closer to Hawaii. Instead of a 5 hour flight it could be 1 hour.
