OK, this is a follow-up from the successful 2022 "NFL Contrarian Angle" thread.
If 2022 was pointed toward Group Think to identify ATS winners, this will be a contest format. Use whatever reasoning you like. Here are the basic parameters I'm planning on:
1) Only one pick per week. You aren't required to post a pick each week. If you miss a week, that's zero Net for the week.
2) Design will be to pick against frozen Pinnacle lines. Pick window will be THUR, 8pm to 10pm. I'll post the Pinnacle line at 8pm. Pick window will line up to roughly halftime of the Thursday game. You can select any game EXCEPT the Thursday game(s).
3) I will be arbiter. I will only scratch a game if # moves 10-cents or more and I deem the fixed line to no longer be any good.
4) Line will be listed as Decimal lines. So, something like 1.96 vs 1.96. Each pick made is for $100 risk that week (IE, $100 to win $96).
5) Contest standings will be based on Net Units over course of the season.
6) Plan is to run weeks 1 thru 17. I normally skip Week 18 because of so many Dead Rubbers.
7) Will be paying real prize money to the winners out of my own pocket.
8) Scheduled payout structure:
*1st (must be >0 net) = 0.010 BTC
*2nd (must be >0 net) = 0.005 BTC
*3rd (must be >0 net) = 0.003 BTC
*Bottom of the rung (must be <0 net) = 0.002 BTC
9) I'll exclude myself from participation. Will list my own pick just for Exhibition.
