Glory days of Minneapolis Laker Basketball. George Mikan was a dominant big man. Vern Mikkelson was an All Star level player as well.

Bud Grant, the Hall of Fame coach who led the Minnesota Vikings to four Super Bowl appearances, has died at the age of 95.

Guy seemingly lived forever. And almost did.

Cared not about the cold-weather, wore the short sleeves. RIP, Coach Grant.

I remember that from deep in the recesses of my memory. But would not have recalled it.

Good hit, Digg. Grant = 2-sport athlete.

He chose basketball at first and was a member of the Lakers' 1949-50 championship team. After two NBA seasons, during which he averaged 2.6 points, Grant changed sports and played both sides of the ball for two seasons with the Eagles.

Before my time, don't remember him. 80 is a good long life, can't live forever. Next...

Signature on the card is forged unless he had Parkinsons when he signed it.
