This process always cracks me up. They don’t do it live, they hide the process behind a big four accounting firm to pretend to legitimize it yet everyone knows they absolutely rig this process. And with tonight being the rights to pick Victor, Silver is going to not leave it up to any chance. I couldn’t find anywhere to bet this so let me know if there is somewhere. Here’s what I think in order of most likely

    1. Houston - Big market with young pieces and they drive a lot of interest in the foreign markets
    2. Charlotte - shitty market but with rumors of Jordan selling the team, this could be a thank you to him so he gets the biggest price or a way to convince him not to sell the team
    3. Distant third - Portland only if the Allen family decides to sell

I would be shocked if any other team had a shot

When was the last time a team that won the lottery won the NBA championship? Maybe 20 years ago? The draft is not rigged. What is rigged are the NBA playoffs to determine who wins the championship.

Saw that! Doc Rivers is a good guy and decent coach, players like him, not sure he is the problem in Philly?

I don’t know man… 0-10 game 7’s. He’s had an embarrassment of riches when it comes to rosters. I don’t dislike the guy but his teams should be better come playoffs. What do I know?

Cleveland Cavaliers won the draft in 2014 and then won the championship in 2016. You didn’t do much research before you wrote your response huh?

It’s tough because he’s a quality guy, quality coach, players love him, he won’t embarrass you off the court but come playoffs his teams show a little life and then fold up. I’m not smart enough about basketball to know why that is?! He has lots of great players usually.

I see the Spurs as a team of the past that doesn’t move the needle for the nba anymore. I think they don’t have any shot tonight

you think any other coach would have beat that Celtics team three games with his shit team of three players and one has a history of choking?

Popovich got a new toy. Better put some muscle on if he wants to be Robinson or Duncan.

Some nice parallels with Tony Parker from France and legendary centers Robinson and Duncan. But they just got lucky. Someone was gonna get lucky.

Pretty good consolation prize. Miller or Scoot?

Not much consolation there. You can see why people say it's rigged. Both small market teams in the final 2 but with everyone suddenly proclaiming the kid the best prospect ever (Windbag calling him possibly the best prospect in all of sports, wolofs!) the NBA is not going to want to send him to that moribund franchise -incidentally both Parker and Diaw played for the Hornets (as well as the Spurs). The Spurs have a HOF coach so they know he'll be in good hands in SA.
